They just think they’re supposed to be a group of cool super-friends, and the only reason they’re called a “family” is because Reed and Sue have kids. So they just ignore everything else about the team, make Reed look vaguely “dad-ish” (hence all the shitty attempts to give him unkempt facial hair), and try to make them look like a ragtag group of diverse teenagers that grew up a little bit because that’s the only fucking type of team these people care about.

And that's just lame. But there's little room for the space age adventurer archetype in modern fiction.

5000 hours in MSPaint>General design is a collar around neck like a suit and a 4 Logo on the chest.>They were all going to wear the same type of suit because Reed said it was practical but Johnny shot it down because looking the same was boring.>Reeds is basic, the light blue on his limbs is meant to evoke muscles/springs and he wears astronaut-like bootsthat lets him increase the gravity of his kicks.>Johnny wants to invoke cool sufer uncle so he wears a short sleeve and shorts variation with sandals. The headband on his head is a special device made by Reed that letsd him know how hot his output it, so that he can choose whether to flame on like a gentle candle or go nova blast without memorizing numbers.>Sue's is a bit magician-looking, her stomach and hands are coated in a material that can help focusin light reftaction and lets her shoot out a navel beam or blasts of light and form shields from her energy>Got kinda lazy with Ben. I imagine he has a sort of modified collar that's more of a He-Man like harness. Along with the wrist bracers it woul let him focus kinetic energy that he builds up with his bulk.They should just have the same general color scheme but not look like they all can swap suits willy nilly, it's a balance imo but I'm not a designer.
