Can we agree Funky Phantom is the worst of the Scooby clones? The show just lacks all the spooky window dressing you'd expect of a Scooby clone ontop of having two awful mascot characters in Phantom and Boo. For the most part the other HB Scooby clones each have a working gimmick. Captain Caveman had the sex appeal of the Teen Angels ontop of his own wackiness to float the show, Jabberjaw rode Jawsmania hype, Josie had the music and cute girls, funky phantom is just a fruitcake and the teens he works with are pretty lackluster in both design and character. I'd argue even Goober had more to offer.

The fact it's Charlie Chan last major appearance in anything is pretty fascinating too. Imagine this being done with any other pulp hero.

Yeah, there was a shit ton of characters, and they are all one dimensions, BUT, the show actually does a good job dividing them into groups and giving them all screen time. I actually showed the entire series to multiple friends now, and they all enjoyed watching and remembered the characters. My newest friend and I are actually making an AU for the series.The best part is the animation is god awful even by Hanna-Barbera standards. Even if the plot's boring, it's usually carried by the endless animation errors. Also, sometimes episodes has random ass monsters and they aren't explained ever. It's not even related to the bad guy, monsters just exist in this universe.
