So sometimes they have black cat being amusing with bad luck powers have the X-Men try to ever get her more involved with them and mutant concerns? And now that I think about it that could be a good way to start stuff between X-Men universe and MCU crossover with Spider-Man running into Black cat and possibly starting something after he saves her or a bunch of innocent people mutants or not mutants and he's like I don't care about that I just want to save innocent life that gets her interested in him.
>>150759488>making _____ a mutant It’s awful and has never benefited the character it makes them worse
>>150759517Yeah but I think for black cat it's only ever been a background detail at most for her. I think they are actually a few other mutants who treated like background information instead of a core focus of their identity like spinny top head guy and that Queen Spider-Man villain who had an event to herself.
>>150759488>tomboy black cat is in the worst spider-man cartoonnot fair
>>150759540 What Spider-Man cartoon on your car in the worst?I mean say it by your number it came out please.
>>150759488
>>150760053
>>150759540tomboy black cat kind of misses the point of the character imo
>>150760912she can be boyish and remain a seducey klepto
>>150761002Go on.
>>150759540>SHORT HAIR! OMG TOMBOY!!!! Why are tomboy fags consistently so retarded?
>>150761830why are you coping, seething, and dilating
>>150759488>have the X-Men try to ever get her more involved with them and mutant concerns? A. she's not a mutant. she got her powers from the Power Broker and/or Kingpin or the super solider serum in TAS.B.The mutant Domino has more or less the same powers.C. The only mutants that she knows are Logan, Firestar and maybe Cloak and Dagger if they're still considered mutants.
Felicia being a mutate is fine enough no reason to go full mutant In fact just have Peter make a serum for her so they stop repeating this shit storyline of her going to Kingpin to get her power's back
>>150759540I’ve never watched it, is it really that bad?The designs for the girls look nice, but it can’t be worse than Ultimate was right?
I'd prefer the cross species idea TASM had. She'd be half cat like Pete's half spider.
>>150759517 To be fair, right from the very beginning back, it seemed like she had does bad luck powers with no real "origin story" so it would be fair to imagine she is mutant. I remember on of her first appearances in Amazing have Peter breaking an Arm while trying to catch her because the piece of wall he was in coincidentally broke, and the implication was something like bad luck powers.
>>150763010What is TASM ?
>>150763297Go on'.
>>150759488This is basically happening in Sinister's Six releasing next Wednesday.
>>150763297"To be fair" nothing, anon. If you absolutely need more explanation than they gave you, for the love of God make it an explanation that doesn't involve a retarded fantasy allegory for minorities, make it an explanation that doesn't ultimately end with the X-books grabbing her.
>>150766114 I meant to say, this wouldn't come out of nowhere, like in many cases that suddenly have "Mutant" as a way to link to another franchise. I did, apparently, wrote it while high or something because I remember that text very different. I need to read before pressing send. Didn't even mention the year I thought I wrote. All Marvel characters that randomly develop powers without a clear cut explanation "supposedly" have the mutant gen, like how all randomly superpowered people in DC are Meta. I honestly don't care if they ever explore this or not, and I am surprised they never did, but I think it would make more sense that many other such situations. >>150765463 Did you want me to give more examples? I know there are quite a few specially in her earlier days, but I haven't read Amazing Spider-man since Once More day, and I barely remember shit from the 70's or 80's anon. Maybe it was explored in some runs I never read, I think she had a bigger presence in "Peter Parker Spider-man" and some other ongoings.
>>150766286>I meant to say, this wouldn't come out of nowhere, like in many cases that suddenly have "Mutant" as a way to link to another franchise.Anon, those past precedents you're citing to justify this? Almost all of them worked out awful for the character in question. They're an argument for Marvel to never ever do this again. No retconning characters into being mutants, and no declaring non-X-book characters to be mutants just because you can't be bothered to write a proper origin for them. It almost always inevitably leads to the X-books and their fandom treating that character like their property and trying to grab them. There's no amount of "it could work" or "it might make sense" that will ever make it become a good idea. I don't even care about Kamala, but just look at her as a modern perfect example of how becoming a mutant just absolutely ruined a character.
>>150759488I'd like a spiderman show where she is the main love interest.Cause (correct me if I'm wrong) there's no alternate universe where she is the main (and final) love interest. We got to have at least one with her, and everyone, even people who don't read comics is tired of MJ. Especially with the cuck/tortured peter meme entering the mainstream.
No. If your going to give Black Cat powers at least make them tech based. The only one who gets a pass on the "is actually a mutant" shit is Electro cause that's funny.
>>150766407>Anon, those past precedents you're citing to justify this? How the fuck saying "Well, it's not as ridiculous as the other instances" is trying to justify anything? I am just saying it fits canon, literally nothing more. Canon in that universe is quite simply that people that are born with powers, or develop their powers in naturally while growing up, are mutants. Whatever the fuck they do with that is always going to be up to the writer, nothing more. A bad writer can make bad stories with a great premise, a good writer can have a terrible or simplistic premise and make it work. Animal-man comes to mind. Let's go back to DC: All characters that are born with powers (and are not magical) are Meta-humans, it just so happens that it really doesn't matter all that much other than to classify it or explain it.
>>150763297That wall breaks because Black Cat and the goons she hired were setting it up to explode to break Walter Hardy out of prison. No powers involved there. There is one scene earlier on where some guns fall off a shelf and momentarily distract Spider-Man but that's it as far as the first story goes. Now, as for the theory itself. Ignoring the fact that we have an actual storylining detailing how Felicia got her powers as they stand now, why would making her a mutant benefit her in any way? What does it add? Getting new powers is not an interesting thing for a character to do, especially if the reveal is "oh you were a mutant the whole time" so what's the point?
>>150766848 Please, tell where she got her powers because all I can recall talking about her "getting powers" is the 90's cartoon, and that wasn't even close to canon or related to it. As for the wall, I recall it was still fairly "coincidental" same as with everything else with her. Finally; no, I don't think it makes anything better. I am just saying, if she has a "luck power", it means she is a mutant. Simply because all people that are born with powers in Marvel are mutants. Mutates (people that get transformed or affected by an external factor like Spidey) or magically altered people obviously excluded.
>>150766970>Please, tell where she got her powers
>>150767203 Thank you. As mentioned earlier, I was a reader of Amazing and knew she was more in Spectacular and Peter Parker. I am actually am going to read it, but does it have anything to do with luck powers, or is it similar to the 90's show super soldier thing?
>>150767203>>150767309 Ok, so that doesn't speak at all about luck powers, to fair be fair it seems like this instance of her (as many others) is 100% bereft of them, or at least they are so minor as to be unimportant, but it does say that she had a minor latent power and it was enhanced, so that's not an origin to her power. It just says she was born with a weak power and it got a power up. Also, holy shit, now I remember why I didn't read Spectacular, it honestly is nowhere near as good as Amazing was in 70's.
Bump
>>150767634>Latent cat powers So she's basically a mutant and they activated her x-gene and turn it off when she can't pay up
>>150762331It's basically another Ultimate, Bendis style rogue's gallery and all. With a fuck ton of Spider-people.
>>150765718fuck, this reminded me that Pete is with some black chick in AoRwould've been fun to see him and Felicia dating and taking shots at each others mutations
