Where do they get their money? Are their merch sales just that good? Is it Aussie Government Money? Are they intentionally running at a loss to get bought out by Netflix or Amazon? I'm glad they're doing what they're doing, it just seems like a lot of expensive projects with very limited revenue streams.
>>150778068I think you're underestimating just how much money Digital Circus makes.
>>150778075Are the merch sales for TADC just that good? I assume the youtube revenue is functionally nothing even with the views it pulls in because I assume all youtube revenue is functionally nothing unless you're doing MrBeast-style constant uploading and algo manipulation.
>>150778068Government grants, merch sales, youtube ad revenue, Hottopic licensing, and Netflix and Amazon licensing.Their revenue is way more diversified than other indie productions. Relying on merch and ads alone won’t cut it.
>>150778091From what I can find they make 500k a month just from Youtube, and Digital Circus
>>150778075This, seems like Glitch is also aware their temple is supported by one pillar, which is why they're branching into other shows
>>150778068>>150778107I don't think they've gotten a cent of Aussie money after they started hiring too many damned Yankees. The ads, merch, and licensing are going a long way.
>>150778091digital circus can get 100 million views for a videothats A LOT even if its only every few months
>>150778182It only works because they release them so infrequently. It keeps fans pouring over every video looking for every tiny detail.
>>150778119It's definitely smart that they're getting into other projects and setting up a partnership label so they can even further diversify. But I do wonder if TADC won't still leave a big gap when it ends, cause both GLD and KoG are shows with a harder edge and more gore and I think they're shows that are not QUITE as easy to do a bunch of shipping and speculation with, so some of the demos that are most invested in TADC might not transfer to those shows.
>>150778182>>150778091Reminder that they get montly views from all of their videos, not only new releases.
>>150778168Do they release in Australia before the rest of the world? That alone disqualifies them.https://www.screenaustralia.gov.au/funding-and-support/narrative-content-production/narrative-content-production-guidelines
>>150778233>Do they release in Australia before the rest of the world? They upload to YouTube.
>>150778232Okay, yeah, I hadn't considered that even their merch videos and trailers are pulling like 10 million views.
https://youtube.com/watch?v=fgRFQJCHcPwI think you underestimate just how much money you can make from merchandising
>>150778068Ignore all the crap before this post. The truth is that Glitch is a fake indie company. They are secretly backed by investors. It's as simple as that.
>>150778420Proof?
>>150778420>They are secretly backed by investorsOkay, but that sort of thing is made public in some way or another, so if that's a "secret," then someone's doing something very illegal... and I'm betting it's Mario
>>150778462His smelly ass
>>150778420I suspect any YouTube channel with over 5 million subs is secretly corporate
>>150778500>>150778466
>>150778420I mean, shit, dude, if I was a billionaire, I'd probably spend most of it just funding random ass indie cartoons.
>>150778466Ever heard of "money laundering"? It's how ANYTHING gets big.
>>150778500>any YouTube channel with over 5 million subs is secretly corporateZack Scott is corporate?
>>150778535That is how LAIKA keeps going despite operating at a loss.
>TFW I'll never have an animation studio/business and will continue posting my cartoons in the void, getting maybe 500 views on a good day while I wage at my retail jobI keep trying to tell myself "It is what it is" but that's no longer cutting it.
>>150778554f he can afford shills randomly bringing him up...
>>150778569Yeah, that NIKE money is very useful.
>>150778569I guess Phil Knight would rather let his son play with dolls for a living than to become a rapper again
>>150778230I bet Glitch will be begging Goose to make more TADC content at some point. It won't be a season 2, but maybe shorts of some kind.
>>150778230TADC feels like lightning in a bottle, I think all the Glitch shows will do well but I can't see anything matching what a huge force TADC has become
>>150778593>fA-HA! This time, I'm 100% sure it was "If".Is this shit happening to anyone else, or just me?
>>150778593what?
>>150778610Knights of Guinevere might at this point. Even if it starts out mostly just being Owl House fans
>>150778609I'd be shocked if not. I respect any creator who just wants to get in, tell their story and get out, but stuff that gets as popular as TADC never just ends and there's a very obvious upshot to it - keep making TADC content and it keeps eyes on the studio, which will keep uplifting the other projects.
>>150778591Serious question Does buying YouTube views work in the long run?
>>150778610>TADC feels like lightning in a bottleIt's not. The show was scientifically made to be popular among zoomers and the production heavily invests in guerilla marketing. If they could do this once, they can do it again- unless they higher-ups got full of themselves and fired all the people who made it work when they asked for a raise (many such cases).
>>150778639KOG has a lot going for it, it looks great and I think there's a tangible desire among people to want to support Terrace, but I think the gory nature of it is gonna put a ceiling on it, relative to TADC anyway.
>>150778591Kinda sounds like you need to work on your promotion moreso than your actual cartooning.
>>150778545>Ever heard of "money laundering"?What, are the Clintons hiding their embezzlement money by giving it to Glitch? Big if true, but that would still get declared in some form.
>>150778713>Epstein files are finally released>Every single Glitch employee is on it, including the voice actors and even Olan Rogers
>>150778728>TADC is just a complicated adrenochrome harvesting schemewtf I love the pedo elite cabal now
>>150778068Can we have their money too?
>>150780275https://www.glitchprod.com/careers
>>150778091Digital Circus had bootleg toys showing up in stores after one episode. Don’t underestimate it.
>2 million was enough to raise 5x10 minute episodesBullshit, the pilot was 25 minutes long and was done on a budget of 330k. >Oh, we're also spending it on HR, marketing, admin, IT, etc.Ohhh, they're adding in the industry red tape that inflates the cost of production to ridiculous degrees.
Gaslight district is going to be so cool.
>>150778068I happen to actually know from an inside source. I won't say here, but it's illegal. Not a violent crime type, but definitely criminal.
>>150782228HR doesn't do anything. Why do people even fund stuff like that?
>>150783933Agree, probably the only show of theirs I'm into. Can't wait to see the other Virtues in particular I hope they're all hot cyborg men
