DC is doing a lot right these days. There's a lot of cynicism in comics discussion, and to some extent I get it. But you know, I'm loving DC right now. I trust DC to entertain me, and I really like a bunch of their books. I am a DC fan and I'm excited to read these.

>>150788221I'm the same way. Nothing against DC but I only watched the Marvel cartoons as a kid. Never watched Batman or Justice League so I don't have the built in affinity for those characters. But Marvel is just not doing it for me, and I think DC's books are not only higher quality in general, but their universe feels more cohesive, and I think it rewards you more for reading multiple books.

But I'm also not obligated to like any of these comics either and quite frankly I have very little faith in the talents at comic books these days, from editors to writers to artists, due the cronyism that has infested the industry for the last 20-odd years. They are looking to replicate things that worked for them in the past, and not looking to proactively change to keep up with the times.
