>>150797714It didn't even work giving them a spin-off comic book. It's like the old Gold Key Tom & Jerry comics, the characters are meant for a series of gags with a loose theme. When they need to talk to carry the story, it isn't a story meant for them. Also, Itchy & Scratchy would at most work in the old Cartoon Network Cartoon Cartoon! format of each episode being 2-3 shorts. I couldn't imagine getting 22x22 minutes out of them without making them something they're not. They're not exactly Pinky and the Brain.
