How much do you think Disney is seething that the Sony/Netflix managed to get a Frozen-level hit with an Original IP while their original content is flopping and floundering and their sequels, even if they are successful, struggle to stay in public consciousnesses after a month?
i don't think they have such human-like emotions
>>150864189Disney does not want to make new ips anymoreThey want to spam Frozen and Toy Story and Stitch forever
>>150864189Disney's going to try to take a slice of the pie and fail miserably. They need to stop following trends.
Reminder
>>150864189Disney bitching no-one showed up for Elio because audiences aren't interested in original stories, only to be immediately BTFO by the success of K-pop Demon Hunters is the funniest shit. Turns out audiences do like original stories, just not the shit ones Disney is churning out.
>>150864524KPDH is also a Netflix film you don't have to pay extra for and can be watched essentially on loop if you're subscribed to Netflix. Theatre admission has become unsustainably expensive and too little of it goes to the theatres themselves.
>>150866267You can do the same with any Disney release after three months on Disney+. But I don't recall any film on Disney+ pulling the numbers KPDH has. Maybe Mandalorian, but I'd have to look it up.
