I liked it okay. I think I lost myself a bit on the overdramatization of the first strife or how they are changing things just a tiny bit. I get it why but I also it makes the series worse.One of the entire points of homestuck for me is the build up from silly to epic, and the tone slowly going from really funny to actually you taking more seriously, this is a bit lost here too. A bit to spastic, a few panels that had a lot of weight are just a second here.Again, i get why, it is a pilot, and mostly for the people who already read this thing 5 times over, so they can not wait to show certain things instead of building up mystery like the trolls and have to update a few other things for modern audiences, could be a better period piece of 2009 like homestuck was, tho. Save for that I liked it fine, I could go on and on about me understanding every single change they made and why but still not liking it but is not that important 8/10 for me. Homestuck always been an impossible thing to adapt in any other form because how weird the format is, but they did pretty well.

His planet's on fire and he can't summon his sprite for help...Jade enters the game.Several things happen at that point in time. The earth is wrecked (but not destroyed) by the impact/explosion of a gigantic asteroid. Vriska puts John to sleep mid-prototype, leaving an opportunity open for Jade's dog to do so. This immediately turns Jack Noir, wearing the Queen's ring, into a god-like being. He immediately kills Dave's brother. This is also shown to be the source of the disruption in the trolls' session: Jack appears, destroys the final door, and blows up Prospit -- with powers he should not have in their session. It appears as if something has gone wrong with sburb itself. Karkat explains that the Jack from the kids' session entered that of the trolls' through a rift in space that Jade creates. This, incidentally, is why the kids are still alive.Vriska informs John that she did this on purpose (because she wants to kill the ultimate being) and that he needs to say some pretty important words: "He is already here."After some time travel shenanigans, Dave discusses developments with Rose. She reveals the reason for her agitation: Jack is trying to end reality itself, and she has been commissioned by Doc Scratch to prevent that.Rose has a plan to seek and destroy the source of Jack's new powers, the Green Sun. It involves killing her dream self. This alarms everyone she discusses this with. Kanaya makes Eridan a magic wand. Surely this will not have any impact later.It also turns out Tavros saved Jade's life and killed her grandfather at the same time. He also awkwardly tries to flirt with her. In front of Vriska, which enrages her.

In the past, Vriska is shown to have manipulated Tavros into taking her dying body to a quest bed and being the one to kill her. She is also a god tier.Meanwhile, Jade messes around and makes a rifle Eridan sends her the code for. He says it's to support a "stable time loop". Jade says it resembles a present she sent to John, but it was given to her by someone claiming to be her grandson. Jade seems to be intensely interested in the idea of having children. I'm sure that will never come up again later!Dave wakes up on his quest bed, unharmed. He gets up, steps off it... And then Jack appears and kills him. No god tier resurrection for this guy.Jade prototypes Bec a second time with her dream self's taxidermied corpse. This creates a Jadesprite from an apparently doomed timeline. Apparently the same one Davesprite is from and Rose has memories of. After some more time shenanigans Vriska returns the favor and kills Tavros. Jack appears on Derse. He kills Feferi's dreamself, then Nepeta's and finally Aradia's -- but hers is on a quest bed, so she arises to god tier. The sprite suddenly leaving it causes Aradia's robot body to explode. Aradia uses her new powers to temporarily halt Jack, which is the only reason anyone is still alive.
