>>150914950If not Rob, there's at least three people I can think of who would be decent enough to take over for Tony.The first would be Tim Brummund, who did Megabyte in the Netflix series. While he's not perfect, he does come close to Tony's range at times. Second would be Steve Blum, who apparently can deepen his voice as seen in the Kung Fu Panda cartoon, namely the spinoff one with the panda kids who Po trains. He played a villain in that and his voice at one point sounds just like Tony's. Third would be Brian Protheroe, who played the antagonist of Ni No Kuni, Shadar. While he doesn't sound anything like Tony, he's at least got a deep sounding enough voice.

What's the ending of the series?

It managed to take several of the toys and convert them into episodes, either focusing on the unique monster each set had, or recontextualizing certain "locations" based on the set/case. It was largely episodic, but had a main goal; Max needs to stop the Skullmaster, initially spends the first half of the series trapped beneath the surface of the earth, then much of the second traveling the world in search of means to kill or distract Max.It had a surprisingly good balance of action and horror, with a ton of implied violence while scarcely ever even showing blood, yet managed to make it clear people got fucked up sometimes because of the monster of the week.
>>150919921A cliffhanger, unfortunately. The main antagonist, Skullmaster, begins an apocalypse of sorts, and manages to kill both Norman and Virgil, then corners Max at Stonehenge and takes the cap. What happens then is a bit timeloop where Max manages to rewind everything back to the beginning, but keeping his memories of the previous events. The implication was that Max would use his knowledge to prevent everything, or at least play fate to a more favorable outcome. To my knowledge, none of the writers for the show ever commented on what their plans were for the series, just that it was expensive and got canned after two seasons. Depending on how you see it, it's not as bad as other cliffhangers like Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go or Xaiolin Showdown, both of which end with things looking dire for the main characters, whereas Max basically went back to the beginning, and had the chance to avoid many of his mistakes. A lot of fans wanted a third season, and others wanted a movie finale, as either would be satisfactory.
Going back to this series and it's a little odd hearing a kid talk with Rob Paulsen's voice.
