Granted everyone in Doom Patrol is now alive again and shit, but DC keeps Rogue dead because of the fact that "Avenging Doom Patrol" was the story that basically caused New Teen Titans to basically explode as the biggest thing to hit DC since the O'Neil/Adams Batman run. Titans had been a slow seller for it's first year but the three part story that brought Rogue back and saw Beast Boy kill her and basically avenge the death of Doom Patrol (something that fans for YEARS had been wanting to see happen, as pretty much NO ONE in the DC Universe seemed to really care that an entire super-hero team had been massacred or concerned with bringing their murderers to justice. George Perez was the key person who insisted Rogue had to stay dead and Gemini only existed because DC went to George and got permission to create an identical daughter replacement for her.
