I'm fine with new TPBs, it's doing things like shitting out an absolute of Byrne slop just because his aging fan boys have the money to waste and will.
>>
>>150989437
There is a legit pragmatic reason for making the MoS mini an Absolute, assuming you believe a noted piece of shit human being Andy Khouri.

According to Khouri, NOTHING of the Byrne Superman run, let alone the Wolfman AoSM run, has been remastered EVER. And that his superiors vetoed Khouri's request for the Byrne Superman run getting the omnibus run because of this need for remastering and why they got released as generic HCs.

Getting MoS remastered for the Absolute format means they can finally get the wheels in motion to remaster the rest of the Byrne run and Wolfman runs.
>>
>>150986876
The OG Barry Allen run only had three stories of note, none of them actually any good: Flash of Two Worlds, Death of Iris West, and Trial of the Flash.

>>150986945
Eat shit and die Waid.

Fun fact: Waid sucked a LOT of Wizard dick in the 90s to get them to artificially boost his Flash run and bury the WML run. Just like he did to get Wizard to shit on the Gruenwald run and Heroes Reborn in general to prop up his shitty Captain America run.
>>
>>150987149
Dude, Waid killed off just about all of Barry's enemies and the few that survived became mass murdering edgelords to go along with the rest of the new edgelord mass murderers Waid created for the run.
>>
>>150989719
You'd think the other Superman omnis, especially the Triangle era stuff would be enough to get the wheels going. I do worry this means they might skip the mini when it comes time to actually do the omni. Honestly though, I'd be happy just to see the previous hardcovers get a reprint. Or do something like the Busiek volumes.

>>
>>150980772
Why the hell are they doing these omnibus editions with creator focusses and then leaving issues out rather than just doing a straight line of number omnis? I know they probably want to avoid number drop off, but the omnis we have got given have gaps.
>>
>>150992038
