First time doing one of these. Hope you guys enjoy it.
>>150987646This is why I suck at comics. I would never think of>establishing shot>foot>back of head and then viewing somethingin 1000 years. Even as I read it, I didn't see those. I saw "she walks toward a tree" as if I was watching it happen in front of me with no camera angle changes. And that is exactly how I would have drawn it, just side view walking, then gotten frustrated that I can't put the tree in view because it's too big and far away. The fuck is wrong with my brain?anyway cool comic.
(god fuck this new captcha system)
>>150987712>cutie pie spottedI'm in.
(remember to bump if you're reading, btw)
>>150987947why? you are bumping every minute or.. well every few minutes.
>>1509882834chan doesn't count it unless someone else chips in too. I'm assuming as an anti-spam measure. We were on page 8 before you replied. Now we're back to 1.
>>150988301since the fuck when?
>>150988714I dunno. But it happened again just now.*shrugs*
>>150988729gayyyyyanyway I'm kinda losing interest now that this has become sort of a sea of weird character designs without any sign of structure, so someone else will have to bump.
>>150988751thanks for sticking around this long
>>150987646Neat
(phew, I'm getting tired)
And with that, we've unfortunately come as far as we can go, as this thanksgiving break notice was the last thing the author posted before getting arrested for possession of cheese pizza, causing hiveworks to nuke the comic and all of his socials off the face of the internet. But hey, that's what the wayback machine is for. Thanks for joining me anons.Hope you had fun.
>>150989314Arrested for what now?
>>150989314
>>150987646reading bump
>>150989314>arrested for possession of cheese pizzaoh come the fuck on, man. i was starting to enjoy the pacing and premise. i mean i still do but that's the end here.
>>150989314Oh, I see.
>>150989983Shame we'll never get to see the bitch witch get what coming to her
>>150990008or... much of anything else, really. man.
>>150989949
>>150988751>sea of weird character designs without any sign of structure,Pretty good description. The "story" if you can call it one is just vagaries, insinuations and implications. Good art though
Hey guys, I found some bonus bestiary material I'm assuming the author made for a physical book release. Likely would've made more if the comic didn't end so abruptly. The man is clearly a fan of Made in Abyss.
>>150989201>Finn during late Adventure time
>>150989314>this thanksgiving break notice was the last thing the author posted before getting arrested for possession of cheese pizzaOP you sonovabitch you played us like a goddamn fiddle

>>150990661>SHE DOESN’T EVEN HAVE ANY TOPPINGS YOU SICK FUCK!
>>150988438>>150988450The magical people should give everyone their own auragair
>>150991034Ill top her
>>150989314>this thanksgiving break notice was the last thing the author posted before getting arrested for possession of cheese pizza, causing hiveworks to nuke the comic and all of his socials off the face of the internet.Ummm, I think that's something you should have mentioned in the first post.
>>150989314Damn, I was enjoying that. His art and panels are really good, hope he managed to reinvent himself.
>>150991392I'm glad OP did it this way, actually. I got to read the comic without it being colored by any personal feelings towards its creator, which in an ideal world is how things should be. Creator drama really has no place when evaluating someone's work, we just live in a drama obsessed world where it's inevitable.
>>150987646bump
>>150989314>so I can move into a new placeSo the place was jail?
>>150987693bump
>>150992933Not sure what his actual sentencing was. For all we know it could’ve been another tvkyle situation where all he got was a slap on the wrist for it. For how much we culturally hate nonces, the way our legal system actually deals with them is a fucking joke.
>>150989314Neat comic. I like the colors and compositions.>arrested for possession of cheese pizzaWELL NOW.
>>150994338Recontextualizes a lot
>>150990935I’m….not sure if summoning smeet is appropriate in this context
>>150995523It's probably more appropriate, at least we know the creator would approve.
>>150989983>>150990423>>150991576Hello again, anons. I'm glad you enjoyed my story time, in spite of how it was inevitably going to end. I admit this was partially a wee bit of trolling on my part, but there is another reason I made this thread.Back when I was still keeping up with this comic, Hiveworks (as far as I'm aware) never put out any kind of statement as to why it was removed. It was just there one day and completely scrubbed from everything the next. This naturally left me very confused for a long time, and I only recently learned the truth of what had happened. The cynical part of me believes that Hiveworks was hoping people would just forget about this comic and thus not associate their name with a convicted sex offender, which reeks a lot more of covering one's own ass than taking moral action. And given Hiveworks' past history of sleazy controversy, I wouldn't put them past this.Regardless of their intentions however, there is an argument to be made that this story deserved to be forgotten, since the author's views and actions unavoidably become integrated into his work. Panels like Fauna taking a bath or being held by the big hairy ruffian take on a new visual meaning once you're aware of the author's intent.Still, there is undeniably a part of myself that was just bothered by the idea of this comic being unarchived. Not everyone knows about the wayback machine, after all. It's an extension of the Henry Darger debate I suppose; how much should what we know about the creator of a work's mind and soul be weighed against the quality of the work itself. And as the reactions in this thread have shown, there is quality to be found here in spite of who the author was.At the end of the day, the situation is now this: These pages are here. They exist in an easy to find space for the short window of time that this thread exists. What happens next is up to you anons. Even if it's nothing at all.

And as the reactions in this thread have shown, there is quality to be found here in spite of who the author was.Eh I think that's a bit of a reach honestly, this guy is no Lovecraft where his views would enhance the work. Regardless the art is very good but everything else is the epitome of "mid". Things just happen, there is almost no exposition, everything is left incredibly vague, everyone knows each other or at least knows of each other to avoid true introductions, characters come and go all willy nilly. If this dude wasn't a serious criminal I'd say he needs a writer.
>>150995749I get you, Anon. Thanks for the storytime, I don't think any work deserves to be forgotten or disregarded just because of its creator's actions and they don't change the quality of it, at all.>It's an extension of the Henry Darger debate I suppose; how much should what we know about the creator of a work's mind and soul be weighed against the quality of the work itselfI'm not aware that Darger even did anything that would cause people to scorn his work (which I'm sure he never intended for public consumption anyway). I mean waifuing a murdered 4yo is perhaps a bit odd, but his love for the lolis seems to have been pure. If there's a theme running through his work it's about fighting anyone who would harm them.
>>150987693bumping for interest
>>150996090much obliged
It was good, not really sure the story thread is about though.I assume the big twist would have been that saz used something wicked/important to make fauna like a humans's soul or something.
>>150997206There's a lot about Saz we don't know, but he does seem to have some deeper connection to the cosmology of this world, perhaps a divine or devil-like being, and doesn't stay in one form for long if the princess' word is anything to go by. I suppose soul transmutation wouldn't be too far fetched from what he could be capable of.
>>150991576Apparently he was convicted back in 2019, so if he did face any prison time he could be out by now. The question is, if he did decide to keep the story going on his own, would you or anyone else here feel alright supporting him?
>>150997565Speaking personally, simple possession is not enough for me to unperson or even hate someone. While I think it's not a good thing to have done and a very stupid one for many reasons, it's not like he directly caused anyone harm like an actual rapist or murderer.I do however think it's probably impossible for anyone in that situation to continue with the same project because everyone would know who he is, it's unlikely anyone would host it and even if he hosted it himself he'd probably get doxxed and harassed off the internet anyway. Probably the best he could do is try and create a new artist identity and hope no-one finds out because otherwise the above will happen anyway. One of the reasons it was a stupid thing to do, because his ability to share his obvious artistic talents is now severely diminished.
>>150998015What even are the job prospects of someone on the registry? What does Carrozza do all day besides selling bootlegs of his own t-shirts and crying?
>>150997206If I had to guess, the story thread is about Fauna finding her way back to Fennela and learning the deep lore (tm) of this world and whoever that Bravery person was and hopefully Prilaign getting ripped in half by the Ruffian somewhere along the way.
>>150996066"Must protecc" is actually a fairly common fantasy among lolicons. How it psychologically plays into their fetish, I couldn't tell you.
>>150991159Seconding this!
