>>150991904He didnt write kingdom come. he stole twilight of the super heroes from alan moore and put his name on it. then he asked for ideas from other people. hes famous in the industry for stealing ideas and having the artist and editors and other people contribute and give feedback and then blatantly stealing their thoughts and ideas and completely changing what he was doing to theirs with no acknowledgement or co-credits. hes only ever done barebones scripting and some dialog while the artist hard carries the work.

His weakest current output is JLU. And thats because its bogged down in tying into events, both in its launch and every following story arc. Its not doing anything with the "Unlimited" premise.All of his collaborations with Chris Samnee are fantastic. Daredevil was great, pulpy fun with modern dialogue (but not suffocatingly eye rolling in that millennial way). The follow ups they did on Black Widow and Captain America were under read but also really enjoyable standalone comic stories. Perhaps a tag meat & potatoes, but the art is so clean and colorful that having a meat & potatoes plot is a good baseline. That collab has continued onto Batman and Robin: Year One - which when completed, will be one of the better "Year One' editions. Worlds Finest like Daredevil was DC's best book for a good long while. A breathe of fresh air in a sea of depressing trends. Admittedly it lost a step when: Mora jumped to JLU + then immediately crossed over with JLU + All In took the spirit of WF and applied it to other books in the mainline. It fulfilled a purpose in bringing back a much-needed style of book to DC. I think Waid can wrap it up with issue #50 and/or hand it off to a new writer.His Superboy in Action Comics is a nice pleasant Superman story away from the all bogged down modern event, "status quo disruption." Its basically just "what if Smallville took place in 2010" in terms of teen style. Waid keeps his teens sincere and earnest, so it avoids a lot of cringiness. It's not Alan Moore's Swamp Thing, but its not trying to be.
