What's your opinion on the current state of Star Wars comics?
>>150996229I haven't read 'em, so I hold no strong or informed opinions.
I'm still mad about Durge jobbing to some oc donut steel
Dragged out like all licensed comics and horribly reductive.Nothing can happen until the 6 part arc is over so the heroes spin their wheels losing until they pull a win from nowhere.Any character or ship which does not appear in the subsequent movie will be destroyed or killed. The Alliance/Republic can never get a win on their own merits because the next movie continues the fight. The Empire can never achieve its goal otherwise they contradict the next movie.Bottom of the barrel art because Marvel sees it as a tie-in money printer.
>>150998717That is the Empire’s goal is always total destruction of the core rebels.Overall it could be worse. Archie’s licensed stuff could sink to weirder depths.
>>150996229Real honest here, I cancelled any of the ones I was still collecting when they started the whole "High Republic" bullshit. But even before that I kind of cut back when they were pushing Doctor Aphra really fucking hard.I made it a point not to touch anything Star Wars related until Disney cleaned house at Lucasfilm. So no I have no idea what the current state of the Star Wars comics are in.
After Marvel got the license again I stopped getting them. Nothing I've seen since then has convinced me to rethink that choice.
>>150996229Most Star Wars stuff sucks, most comics stuff sucks. You cant exactly hope for a decent outcome here.
It's weird how the most attention they've got period was when Watto seemed to have been killed only to have survived
>>150996229-i still don't know or care who doctor aphra is-we still don't have an animated or live action general grievous origin story-i would have hoped the mace windu miniseries would be 10 issues like Yoda was, and i also hoped Plo Koon, Kit Fisto and Aayla Secura would each get a miniseries-i've never been that interested in star wars bounty hunters except Cad Bane, but have never seen him on the cover of a comic or heard about him being in one so i don't care-the obi-wan live action show showed that quinlan vos had survived but that hasn't been touched yet-i do not like that ventress is going to be brought back at all. if they wanted to make her relevant they could have her be flashbacks with quinlan vos which would make the dark disciple novel more important or canonthe current state of star wars comics? i don't care, the franchise is much less than it could be. Andor was amazing though. not sure we'll get something that good ever again
>>150996229there is no star wars comics since 2012-2014. What you are refering is disney wars. Star wars died a long time ago.
>>1510019232017 Darth Vader was actually good though
>>151001927>though
>>150996229are the old republic comics good?
