Are Marvel's (non Ghost Rider) horror properties underutilized?

>>150996323Definitely. Even Ghost Rider doesn't actually get used that much despite how iconic he is. Dracula, Wewolf by Night, Man-Thing, and Hellstrom occasionally see some use, but only Dracula ever gets to be relevant to the Marvel Universe at large. Frankenstein's Monster (why does he show up in your collage twice?), Living Mummy, and Simon Garth/Zombie have been completely irrelevant for decades, in fact I can't tell you a single thing about Marvel's version of Frankenstein's Monster that sets him apart from any other Frankenstein in any other IP, unlike DC's Frankenstein.

>>150996323When the MCU did that Werewolf by Night special, I was hoping this meant that we would get more Marvel horror anthologies in the future. But nope, that was it, aside from that time they reissued it in color. We haven't even seen Jack Russel, Elsa, or Man-Thing anywhere since, and I doubt we will anytime soon.Which is a shame, since it has potential. Especially since these characters already have recognizable iconography to casual audiences since they're all based on popular monster tropes.

>>150996323Dracula has had a lot of time to shine in modern Marvel. Same with Manthing and Son of Satan. Werewolf by Night has cameos now and then, and will show up every now and then in Moon Knight. Zombie, Mummy, and Frankenstein are basically nonexistent.

I remember thinking Disney should use the Marvel monsters more since their theme park rights aren't tied up with Universal. I think is a problem more on the editorial than the characters.An author is going to go to DC Vertigo/Black Label/DCYou Darkhorse or Image to work on horror stuff.And right now it doesn't help the marvel relaunch that could work for Hulk or dr strange but wont work for an obscure character like man thing
