In 1991, newspaper articles cited Lisa from The Simpsons as an example of Millennials.
>cheerful and wanted
>>150996949>wantedWhat did they even mean by that? Was gen x all unplanned pregnancies?
>>150996993Yes, most of gen x was aborted
>>150996908isn't greta thunderburger in prison
>>150997306The Jews have deported her after raping her.
>>150996908AY CARAMBA
>>150996908she would've been when the show started, so yeah.
>>150996908>cheerful and wantedMotherfuckers still writing articles blaming us for ruining everything because some yuppies like avocado on their toast. Acting like we're young kids when every millenial I know is pushing middle age and are broke, divorced, and depressed.
bump
>>150997342based jews
>>150996993The previous generation was all about free love and general rebellion.
>>150999633Then why are boomers so uptight?
>>150999633>>150999943Boomers had a David Duke problem in that despite the lefty hippie push that gained traction based on easy truths about freedom and liberation in the face of segregationist and conservative values. Libertarianism is anti-segregation in theory (people should be free to marry who they want and assemble where they want regardless of race) and pro-segregation in practice (we should have the freedom to discriminate in private business and property) and liberalism (free market, not social) can't thread that needle to satisfy the racists even when they try to be chill about it through libertarian argumentation. So they tried to have it all ways. Lefties with commie hippie type idealism and righties with libertarian anti-establishmentism. Now that they're older, many boomers are caught up in culture war and generational war, not so much in a "younger generations are comparatively less uptight" thing and more of a "free market economics has been failing for decades so we'd rather talk culture war" thing.
>>150996949damn Colaleo wrote this one too
>>150999943>>150999633lazy and selfish hippies who joined the system they swore to rebel against wanted their kids to do what they couldn't
>>151001286They understood that dropping out of the system just makes you irrelevant to it, but then once they engage more with the system, they saw that all they can do is vote themselves into Reaganism which sounds great, especially coming out of the cold war, but it was also new to them and sold as a fantastic trickle down economics system. It's funny that we don't have these huge donations flowing to public projects. We have tax cuts exchanged for donations to a ballroom and a presidential library.
Every generation is a new and novel example of how the previous was absolute shit at parenting, and the consequences of all the unique ways in which this was applied and will be passed down for new and fun fuckups in the one to follow.
I will never understand the maddening maniac obsession some people have over generations. I sometimes have the impression is all some motherfuckers think about.Once a quite cunning anon explained to me that for some people with a complete lack of identity is just they seeking out anything to bind their personality to, so they chose the time frame in which they are born since is probably the most commonly denominator outside country or gender. Is just fucking bizarre for me, lisa is such an annoying fucking character by so many standards and ideologies, is her being a millenial or zoomer or whatever the fuck those made up words really that important?
>>151001686It's important to make a lot of clear but unnecessary dividing lines for people to focus on and fight each other over so the people actually benefiting from real problems can stay under the radar and keep extracting value from the population.
>>151001440It's even more ironic that, for all the bullshit Reagan pulled himself, he'd be really pissed off at the current tariffs.
>>151001749Okay. divide and conquer. I agree with you is probably that. I saw the other thread and the amount of shilling is been happening lately over this topic is probably that.I wonder why, they will probably try to push some big absurd thing soon and they want make sure people are busy with this crap, or try to sell it as a generational thing so they have people who will defend blindly because of it.
>>150996908Well they certainly acted like Lisa ill give em that
>>151001664You also notice that every new generation is very civic minded
>>150996908damn thats crazy
>>151001761On that topic, tariffing Canada further for using the words of Reagan against Trump who just rejects history and says it's AI is a new level of absurdity.
>>151001761Reagan wouldn't give a fuck, he was an actor playing a part. He was installed. If you want to know who had the real power in that white house it was Nancy "blowjob queen of LA" Reagan.
>>151003047Considering he went from a pro-union workers right friend of Hollywood to an anti-union worker backstabber friend of the finance industry, that could be true. Starting to have sympathy for gays during the AIDS epidemic only once it took one of his friends is very conservative though.
