Do you respect Hergé and Tintin?
>>150998893Respect? Yes. Love? Yes. Any decent man would, of course.
>>150998910>>150998893Nice
>>150998893Yes is as iconic as spirou, asterix, marsupilami and lucky luke.
>>150998893I would want nothing to do with any person who doesn't. Even someone who hated Hergé and Tintin but still respected them would be fine with me (though likely still dreadful to be around).
Hergé didn't really draw much of Tintin though, right. Team of ghostwriters and artists.
>>150998893I watched the cartoon a ton when I was younger, one of my favorites. The 2011 movie was also very good, shame a sequel seems less and less likely these days. Who knows though, Peter Jackson and Spielberg do actually love the property.
I always liked Tintin, pretty comfy series. Read a lot of it as a kidBut Asterix will always be my favorite franco-belgian series
>>150998893If you dont you should stop talking about comics
>>151001904MORE iconic, even.
>Racist piece of shitNo, I do not
>>150998893Herge was a racist and machismo prideful fuck, of course I respect him.
Too bad we will have to start hating it next year when Tintin starts going into the public domain.
>>151002777What do you think of the Tintin Fanon wiki?
>>151002934never heard of it and most likely won't read it, I avoid things with the word "fan" in them.
>>150998893>Do you respect Hergé and Tintin?Why wouldn't I?
>>151001904I am not sure I would put Marsupilami there, but sure
>>150998893Captain Haddock is contended for best deuteragonist of all time
>>150998893Hell yes
>>150998893no
>>150998893You gotta respect the high standards he set for Francobelgian adventure comics and the effort he put into not simply being a vehicle for propaganda and prejudice after Tintin in the Soviet Union, Tintin in the Congo and Tintin in America.I personally don't like his works though. I find the way he draws faces off-putting.
>>150998893No.
>>150998893Yes.
