after like 150 finn and jake episodes I think some side character episodes were warranted. Some of those episodes are among my favourites like Little Brother

The majority of that remaining 130 or so is still Finn and Jake-centric. I didn't think there were too many side-character episodes, but you're not alone in feeling that way.
