I remember there being a fake rumor that in future episodes of Velma! Norville was supposed to get a girlfriend named “Scoobi” who gets kidnapped and murdered by the main villain. The only way they save her life is by transferring her brain from her body and into a random Great Dane, thus that’s how we get the talking dog. She gets a speech impediment thus why she calls herself “rooby doo”, and later on there’d be jokes and gags of Norville being a zoophileThis would’ve been really stupid but at the same time it would’ve piqued my curiosity, I’d be down for a Scooby doo iteration like that lmao

But this idea of how Scooby is created, it's not a deconstruction or a critic of the characters, it's just a very crazy idea of a character origin that for fanfic or creepypasta. Velma a horrible girl, Daphne, she's uh sluth right? Nazi, the leader blonde guy, totally forgot the name, almost normal shaggy, those are good twists of the originals. But this Scooby origin breaks the norm here. Sounds more like a writer for a Disney show, trying to make a somehow dark twist, but not actually twisted. They should have just made the girlfriend the owner of Scooby, and when she dies shaggy throws his life to trash and starts hearing the dog talk, and gets drugged with "him".
