Comics peaked at Brits and Euros doing cool sci-fi shit but not enough people realize
>Most of the world by now sees comics as just superhero shit, even though they only know those characters from movies
>Modern Western artists copy anime/manga because to them "Western media" is just, again, superheros and also Disney and maybe Family Guy
>Warhammer 40K copied a lot of ideas from comics like Nemesis the Warlock and overshadows them in popularity, while Games Workshop also acts Nintendo levels of anal over "plagiarim" to their plagiarism heavy franchise
>Flop game Concord claimed to be "inspired by Metal Hurlant" and that probably made people view European comics as lame
>"Retro sci fi" accounts that occasionally post a Druillet drawing or two can't help boost popularity for these comics while everyone puts their attention towards some 2000's Canadian cartoon for babies
No wonder not enough people respect comics as a medium

Judge Dredd is the only comic I still read regularly. America is a fine piece of literature.
>>
2000 AD is probably more daunting to new readers cause it's harder to understand where to even start

Judge Dredd is very hard to start without a guide. Year One by IDW was probably the best american published one out there and a decent start to the world.
