You think a color cut exists somewhere?

Same. Saw it for the first time last night and wondered why I've never seen her hyped.

This is the worst of Tim Burton's animated movies.

I agree quite strongly, but I'd love to hear your reasoning if possible.

Burton only did this & Corpse Bride. Nightmare wasn't even directed by him even if he came up with the concepts.

Its been a long time since I last saw it, but recalling my initial feelings I found it dull and lacking a certain 'spark' the others had. It's a unimpressive and not very engaging movie overall.

The science teacher's the only human puppet that can make a face that isn't just O_O.
Like all I could think during the scene where Victor watches Sparky get run over is how stiff these puppets look. Corpse Bride was able to get away with it since they made it a thematic point that the world of the undead is more lively then the strict Victorian society of the living world, but even the human puppets in that movie were still capable of being expressive.

Well I like it, though I will say the 80's short live-action film is more fitting and like how low budget it was, and made it charming. I like this one too. It's very simple story stretched out, since the boy was kind of bland, but the it's nice the parents weren't assholes. I would have made the ending where Victor has to accept death and brining back Sparky the 2nd time fails. But it's not bad to me.

I remember hoping Elsa would be hypnotized by the Vampire Cat.

But given it was more a metaphor for rabies in the film, that was wishful thinking on my part.
