>>151010230I dunno man. I haven't had a good memory from 4chan in many years. I guess the most recent nice memory was when the site shut down and I got to hang out in the irc with a bunch of oldfags. What a completely different breed of people. They had interests outside of contemporary internet culture and they knew stuff. They were more straightforward too. But that is not exactly a 4chan memory.The jannies have been trying to kill the site for years and they have been largely successful. The board cultures have largely dissipated, most contentfags have been driven away, lots of users left. I wish I had somewhere else to go.

This place wasn't so jaded or couched in politics. The most edgy anyone got was with transmetapolitan calling regular superheroes "moralfags". These days hating and sharing your hate for things you don't enjoy has sort of become the norm. You can't have a conversation about things you like without a bunch of idiots bitching about what is wrong with the thing you like and why you shouldn't like it.Don't get me wrong /co/ is still better than most of the site writ large, but it's nowhere near the peak of what it used to be.
