Haven’t seen it in a couple years but I remember the pacing being all over the place, the title characters don’t actually get involved with the plot until much later than they should’ve, and you don’t really know what the endgame/goal of the movie is until like 40 minutes in. Obviously the art direction and style is great, even carries it for some people. And I won’t fault anyone for that if it does. But other than that, it’s kinda mediocre.

This movie was dog shit and made zero sense. Also the art style sucked. The charm of stop motion is that it's three dimensional and real yet they went with a flat 2D style.

>>151010470I'll tell you what that movie was: Badly written and terribly paced. It had like 5 different plot points and they just kind of fall over each other into an unsatisfying ending. Which was a shame, because the trailer really sold the movie for me.
