What is /co/'s thoughts on this? Many consider these to be the definite animated versions of the characters. Wednedsday still gets fanart to this day.

I didn't expect to but aside from a few cringe pop culture references (it's a kids CGI movie in a world after Shrek, go figure) I thought it really got the characters and humour. It's clear the creators studied the original cartoons, both from a design POV and the fact the better jokes were completely in that tone.2 is a horrible let down, abandoning the setting for a road trip that moves from set piece to set piece and giving them an actual supervillain antagonist is the kind of shit terrible sequels are made of. It's a real shame, honestly. In the hands of competent writers I think they could have made something of this series but the second movie killed it stone dead.

Wednesday had her dry wit, but she didn't have that disdain for all life later versions have. Sean Astin will always be Gomez to me. Raul Julia is good too, but he's more like a close second IMO
