What he's saying though is always pretty simple: the white martian is messing with people's emotions and concepts (such as when he messes with the sun to increase people's volatile nature) to alter their actions and reality itself.

If you've ever done LSD or even Shrooms it is genuinely incredible how close Absolute Martian Manhunter's writing feels to your general internal monologue while under the influence. I would call bullshit if Camp tried to say he'd never done anything of the sort.
