Should superheroes pack heat?
>>
>>151047170
Those are antiheroes
>>
>>151047170
Is Wolfman's vigilante good? That cover is great
>>
>>151047302
Supposedly yes it's fantastic, but it's not all Wolfman, after he leaves there's some Moore then Kupperberg and it has an extremely dark ending
>>
>>151047302
Yes
>>
>>151047170
How DOOM hold heat and preach non-violence?
>>
>>151047170
Punisher War Zone was cool. Wild Dog was boring.
Might try Vigilante.

Yeah, in a way its almost a deconstruction without being too on the nose about it. "Status quo" gets shaken literally every "arc" and it ends really sad.

as a general rule? no. a lack of guns generally leads to more creative tactics, more dynamic swashbuckling approaches, and it allows heroes to more freely use their offensive powers without being constrained by the weight of mortality, they can choose whether to deliver a stunning blow vs a mortal wound, though admittedly this last bit is not unique to guns and there are some work arounds.

>more creative tactics
Yeah, like punching hard and punching harder.
>>
In some cases. Although I guess it's up for debate whether the Phantom counts as a superhero or not.
>>
>>151051437
I think The Shadow, The Spider, and The Phantom count

An argument between these 8would be priceless.
>>
>>151047170
yes
>>
>>151047170
Heroes don't use guns
>>
>>151054360
Anon they have since the pulps.
>>
>>151054360
Heroes have always killed and used weapons until capegarbage watered them down.
>>
>>151047170
I only own two of these issues
>>
>>151054807
And even then I think cape comics would have used them more if not for the CCA
>>
I think it'd be cool to have some superhero with a proper combat powerset to also quietly have a holdout pistol. Have some all is lost moment where his back's to the wall, his powers aren't gonna get him out of this jam... but thankfully he has a mundane as fuck solution! Always pays to be prepared!
>>
>>151054360
They fire them.
>>
>>151047170
So I see Punisher
DC's multiple attempts to copy The Punisher
Silver Sable and Peacemaker who aren't heroes.
And the New Mutants twice, firing weird sausage-shaped GI Joe pew pew lazors.
Oh and edgelord Spawn, I guess he used a gun once or twice.
