Worst decade of cartoons?

>>15105690570s 100%. shit felt so neutered compared to everything before it.
>>15105690570s for sure. The 2020s are easily 2nd place though.
I wasn't alive for the 70s but can guaranty there was more to watch than today. So I bid for the 2010s and beyond. It'll be worse once AI is used.
>>15105691570s definitely.10s is just bad if you're a pissy boomer
>>151057578Quantity ≠ Quality
I consider this last decade to be horrible due to the state of the industry, the PC culture, the brainrot, the censorship, the AI.But what happened in the 70s to be considered so bad?
>>151058212Disney struggling after Walt's death, WB'S Termite Terrace shutting down and becoming the era of Dirty Harry, Golden age animators croaking. Saddest of all were the Fleischer Bros not reconciling before passing on. Hanna-Barbera pumping out mostly Scooby clones (though they tried to get out of the kiddie pool, Taft Broadcasting wouldn't let them)
70's as of now, but 2020's is starting to overtake it.
Has to be the 80s, at least the 70s had the weird psychedelic shit and some great animated films from Europe. 80s was purely cheap cynical toy commercials and a bunch of movie flops from the major studios.
>>151056905Right now. You're living through it.
>>151056905I think we're in the worst one, coach.

>>15105690570s easily, the 2020s so far have probably been the worst decade since the 70s though and might end up overtaking it. At least the 70s had some experimental shit going on even if none of it was successful. The 80s started out as shit but gradually got better by the end, the late 00s were fucking DOGSHIT but that's just 1/3 of the decade and the early to mid 00s were great, and the 2010s started out honestly pretty good before collapsing about mid-way through. The 70s and 2020s at least so far are decades that started bad and didn't improve. Other decades were either consistently strong or just ok.
>>151056905whenever animators discovered motion tweening
>>151057578The 70s were literally nothing but Scooby Doo clones and the occasional arthouse animated movie that you'd be lucky to catch playing a limited screening at 1/20 theaters in the country. Network executives basically went hyper retarded and were convinced that kids only wanted cheap Scooby Doo clones and nothing else. You had a lot more to watch but it literally all felt the same and was low-quality, and the high-quality stuff was a fucking BITCH to find.
