>>151059385I don't want to oversell anything, the movie overall wasn't a stellar Lex depiction, but I sort of liked how this Lex shifting between barely contained disappointment, amusement and anger to illustrate he's really repressed at this point from having to deal with people and conceal himself compared to other live action Luthors who appear more confident or expressive because their ambitions and wits have gone without competition or unopposed by Superman and Metahumans for however long.What I'm trying to say is Lex seeming like he doesn't know how to even feel triumph makes sense in that context, it's like watching a workaholic get a day off, instead of relief and recreation they'll probably just sit somewhere not sure what to do with themselves.
