Sweet moment from the final issue of Batman & Robin Year One, Batman embraces a new blue suit, I'm almost sure this series will continue somehow.

I guess they're really going down that route in most Batman books and letting Absolute Batman be the grim, angry version of the character.

Yeah, the ending sets up a Y2 book with the cps caseworker as a recurring character. Can't wait.
>>151063098
I do.

This book takes place after Dark Victory. I wonder if another book in the series would take place after The Last Halloween?
>>
>>151064521
This book has nothing to do with Dark Victory and the Long Halloween continuity.
Sal Maroni is still alive in B&R Year One. Robin hasn't met the Joker yet.

Blue without the yellow oval will always feel weird to me, I get that's how it was for most of the golden age and popped up again in the early 2000's in some cases, but the yellow balances it out a lot.
>>

I thought I had read that somewhere, but it seems I was wrong. I must have gotten it mistaken with Robin: Year One.
>>
Why do they hate the oval so much
>>
>>151065602
It's hard to draw.
>>
>>151065602
The yellow oval on the chest does add some balance with the utility belt, but I guess Robin is wearing all the yellow they need.

Bats has been wearing blue again since the #1 reboot in the current mainline book.

FPBP, nobody but boomers like Waid care about the Silver Age.
>>
>>151065821
Yeah Batman is only the single most published fictional character in all of human history. Of course nobody would ever care about his legacy and ongoing continuity.
>>
>>151065602
No! Batman must be dark and brooding and never wear any colors! (even if he wears a yellow symbol for a tactical advantage).
>>
>>151061654
the blue is back but half of the time it feels like the regular black and grey
some other colors and different details wouldn't kill him
>>
>>151066077
When he wore red yellow and purple he literally built a super robot designed to kill him
>>
>>151066115
I knew it I shouldn't have said "wouldn't kill him"
>>
>>151065602
looks lame. a roundness that obstructs an otherwise sharp design of triangles
>>
>>151065895
yes they care about stuff within the last 40 years, really more the last 30 or 20, of most people's living memories, not stuff from the fucking early 60's.
>>
>>151066676
Sounds like you didn't read Grant Morrison's Batman.

No shit retard, that's what OP said. This book didn't need to go the continuity route because it's its own thing, but the reason why Batman switches to blue here is very tied to this book specifically and his relationship to Dick.

Gee thanks for being hostile for no reason faggot
>>
>>151065602
This is the earliest days of Batman and Robin. Batman didn't get the oval till the 1960s. He's wearing it in World's Finest.
