Faults and all, I think in hindsight it's got more good than bad, and it deserves to be remembered. >inb4 Ewing's politicsNo disagreeing there. The man's a cvck. But still, the good outweigh the bad. It was a great direction for the Hulk and should be explored more with other characters too. What other characters do (You) think should be "Immortalised"?
>>151073788Give me the Immortal Sentry.
>>151073845Fpbp.
Overall I enjoyed it but Ewing dropped so many plot threads as the story went on it's unbelievable. Like the Namor shit.
>>151074198I think it was him dropping plot seeds for other writers to pick up on like how Devil was clearly influencing Banner
>>151074214And Ewing put that Devil Remembers OMD, he knows who peter is, he knows the marriage and the deal, and that he would never harm Banner. And he is disappointed that Peter let himself be fooled by Mephisto
>>151073845This.
>>151073788Iron Fist
I just hate that we had the most entertaining Hulk persona in some years and he gets killed off due to Savage being retarded. Some anon claimed he came back though.
>>151074320Devil was pretty SOVL.
his will be my final post on /co/.How can anyone think that this is scary for real ? How can anyone take seriously a horror book with the Hulk as a supposed to be frightening monster ? How can anyone see the Hulk as frightening for real in this book ?"Ouh, the Hulk is smiling, so unsetlling, this is so scary guys..." why are you lying to yourself like that ?You guys are just forcing onto yourself the new fade there will be in this hivemind of a board, with the blandest, tamest, most classicly safe comic book there can be, while your selective outrage is shitting on Bendis' Superman for things that would be praised if they were written by someone else, but NOOOOOOOOOOOO you have to shit on it even if it's good because the hivemind dictates you to do so !!!No wonder you can't get laid, but guess what ? I got a girlfriend now. For the first time of my life after 24 years I finally got a girlfriend, and all that nerd fuss has become so irritating since.I'm just leaving for good now, I had plenty of fun with that board but I'm done. I wish you to get girlfriends to, maybe it will open your eyes about the hivemind that is destructing your self, but sadly, the hivemind is probably keeping you away from being able to seduce anyone, so you're most likely trapped in a vicious circle, and sadly, there is no Savage Dragon to save you from it. I just hope that this message will maybe help you to think by yourself a bit more and to get a girlfriend to.Enjoy your book.
>What other characters do (You) think should be "Immortalised"?Feels like the moniker works best for those characters that aren't part of the usual "center of the universe/team up event slop" and also have some mystical, mythic qualities to them:>Immortal Dr. Strange>Immortal Namor>Immortal Silver Surfer>Immortal Moon Knight>Immortal Iron Fist
>>151074913Anon, Danny has his own Immortal bookHe started the trend
>>151073788I'm making my way through it and i'm liking it a lot. I like the art a lot, and the writing is cool the symbolism of mirrors, faces, personae and shit. Is the Thor one any similar? I got the first TPB for it when i got the hulk one. Also, anyone thinks the hulk covers are better? Dunno what happened to ross, but i just don't feel his Immortal covers for thor.>>151073845Don't know a lot about him, but he seems based and i would be down for it.
>>151074227I think that was from a Tom Taylor-written one-shot, not Ewing.
>>151073788>Immortal Ghost Rider (though that's essentially what Percy's run was)>Immortal Wolverine
>>151074973Thor is intentionally pretty different and after #12 has really bad art that weakens the book considerably, I've enjoyed what Ewing has done after #25 though
>>151074973Enjoy the art while it lasts. Bennett got fired for being a Trump supporter.
>>151075057He stays on the book until it's finished at #50 he just won't get any more Marvel work afterwards for his political views
>>151073788More bad than good.
>>151073788More good than bad.
Jesus Christ, are you people so fucking frightened to like something that you always have to preface it with this shit? It's the idiots who think that liking something is the same as thinking it's perfect that are wrong, like what you like.
>>151075094and now marvel is fucked because no one wants to work with them or DC anymore because of that
>>151075254I can understand some of the gripes with it but overall its a stellar book.
>>151075204OP already said that, dunce.
>>151073845Fippy bippy.
Are BatKEKS still sore?
>>151073788Yeah, it's my second favourite Hulk run. I'll wait for the current one to finish before adding it to the ranking
>>151077478You are going to be waiting for a while.
>>151077493I'm prepared
>>151077607Based.
>>151075282It really, really isn't.
>>151074198I think he was forced to drop the Namor stuff because another writer was planning on using him.
Joe really became the adrenaline shot for the story, his tenure as protagonist after the crap that was Roxxon was the peak.
>>151073788>What other characters do (You) think should be "Immortalised"?Sentry, Iron Man, Namor, Ghost Rider, Doom, Strange, Surfer, Warlock, Thanos.
>>151073788>it deserves to be remembered.I think it deserves to be forgotten, hulk wank is cringe and the one below all shit is retarded
>>151080740Based.
>>151073788>What other characters do (You) think should be "Immortalised"?immortal she-hulk that's more than just >>151074320 and the meh one shot we got, immortal punisher by someone who actually likes and understands the character, immortal nick fury, immortal wolverine, immortal-ing any villain it would work for.
Immortal Hulk was not only great, but will go down as a must read in the character's history. The title fell off when Cates took over, but I'd argue PKJ's current run returned some goodwill
>>151080980The PKJ run hates being a Hulk comic
>>151081026??? it literally goes back to the essence of it with him roaming the countryside and doing one-off stories with a larger over-arching plot of some big bad trying to steal his powers its even doing the classic Hulk/Banner split and needing to get the body back if the military were after him you'd claim it was a steep departure from the true source
>>151081026What? I don't know what makes you say that
>>151081117>>151081146It’s literally just OC-shilling crap and PKJ writing in yet another insufferable kid character (just like he did to Supes)He’s doing the Titan/Kluh thing again too.
>>151080980>Immortal Hulk was not only great, but will go down as a must read in the character's history. The former is far more impressive than the latter. Most runs that shape the mythos of a character are terrible.
>>151081188You're being intentionally vague leading me to believe you're full of it. >He’s doing the Titan/Kluh thing again too.No he's actually working off of what Ewing did and doesn't change it
>>151075254If you don't make caveats people will talk nothing but the few narratives about something.
>>151073788>What other characters do (You) think should be "Immortalised"?Immortal Mr. Immortal.
>>151073788Agreed. It has it’s ups and it’s downs and for both the author really wore his heart on his sleeve, but on the whole I’m glad it happened. >ImmortalisedWrong way to look at it. Don’t make characters conform to a certain gimmick, write a gimmick that allows characters to shine. That’s why Immortal Hulk won me over, and say-Immortal Thor didn’t despite clearly trying to go high concept.
We need more of Betty being a friendless chuuni as a child. We got a little bit in Defenders Beyond but after Ewing took his twitter down we were robbed, frankly.
>>151074352classic
Would you lump Immortal Thor and the current Mortal Thor as the same run?
>>151081239Enjoy your purple Hulk, Werewolf OC daughter (ignoring the perfectly good alien child HE ALREADY HAS) and more insufferable donut steelsPKJ sucks and hasn’t bothered to learn about the character he’s writing, he literally called Devil “Demon Hulk” and called this new “Infernal Hulk” an “altar.”
