I feel like she does it well, but doesn't overdo it to the point it's gratuitous and doesn't really do anything for the story. The girl needed it, especially considering the bullshit on her life in The Other Side. I also love the intimacy of these panels and those early pages, Hanna hugging and massaging Larry, clearly enjoying his company and probably the first real romance she had since Marek.

Honestly, I think it's just the main three have different friend groups that kinda meshed together based on context but never really were deeply friends besides that. Like, a few of the characters from the Halloween storyline were introduced alongside Ian Jones-Quartley's character who appeared then disappeared after the Stoner vs Nerds arc. Even Eve's old old friends pretty much call her out for never talking to them.
