I may have been the only person on this board to have watched the Watchmen show. It was perfectly fine until this episode (7 of 9). If you do a Watchmen sequel maybe have it about a ragtag group of vigilantes trying to unravel Ozymandias' plot. Literally just pick up right as Seyemour grabs Rorschach's journal. Or hell just adapt Under the Hood and throw in some Minutemen adventures to spread it out. Sorry for the blogpost.
When I say every episode was fine up until the Hooded Justice episode I mean it was just enough to keep me interested. And I was excited to see what Adrian was up to. Silk Spectre however is Laurie in name only. And the idea of her using a giant Dr. Manhatten sex toy is repugnant. I thought the show was unfairly lambasted but the minutemen episode and the return of Doc Manhattan episode justified the hate

Like its one thing to have a person reading The Veidt Method or Under the Hood. Its one thing to have a Hooded Justice Show with Minutemen action figures. But do we really need a repeat of what thermodynamic miracles are? Or the scene where Hollis is killed by Top Knots but with different people? Plus a lot of the vehicles and city are meant to be far more futuristic.

I cannot recall any meaningful backlash this show suffered anywhere. Everytime I see this show get brought up people have a decent opinion of it. But the truth is that no one cared enough about this show to like it or hate it. I don't even think people care much about Watchmen in general that much considering the fact that it only gets brought for culture war shit.

Theyreally fucked up Silk Spectre. She isn't even trying to act like someone in Witness Protection and I guess she's more keen to talk to Jon than Dan who apparently went to prison. Also what the FUCK WAS THAT DOC MANHATTAN DILDO THAT WAS THE SIZE OF AN ARM. They made Dan even more of a cuck with that especially because she immediately goes and fucks her assistant next. She's always been a shit character but damn this show annihilated her.
