Early test footage is being shown today or tomorrow. They just said "this weekend" but we're finally going to see the actual animation.
If the fucking Swat Kats comic can get 300k after a few days this should at least get 100,000
>>151088502Imagine if it's tweened after all this build up
it's kinda sad to realize that the Cairo has grown so much over the past 50 years than the pyramids site is now next to the city ugly buildings and is on its way to be completely surrounded by misery towers in the next decade
>>151088502FUCK YEAHHH
>>151088667They've postponed this so many times that I want to believe it's really good and polished and they've had time to put the finishing touches on it.
>>151088502Are we going to see Professor Squawkencluck?
>>151089110She's confirmed to be in the final product in general, so she'll probably be in this since she has a big supporting role. But I could be wrong.
I wonder how much the David Jason goal is going to cost
>>151089718If they're smart they'll put it higher than their other goals because it's the one universal goal everyone would be willing to fund. Who the fuck wants a Danger Mouse arcade cabinet?
>>151089818>Who the fuck wants a Danger Mouse arcade cabinet?...me
>>151089718>>151089818Maybe I don't know how these things work but it seems cheeky to me to have stretch goals publicly planned in advance. How do they know they'll even reach their minimum funding? What makes them think they'll shoot past it?
>>151090250More carrots to dangle on sticks
>>151090250What's cheeky about it?>This is what we need to make the product>If we had this much on top we could do xyzThey're not inherently implying they think they'll smash the first one, they're just being transparent about what extra touches they want to do if hypothetically they had the means.
This does not seem like the amount of stuff being made for it where they expect to fail and/or the game not come out
>>151090622The game itself is already coming out regardless and the kickstarter is for physical merchandise, /co/ is just stupid
>>151089818I am pretty sure the arcade is something you can buy upfront as part of the campaign, not a stretch goal
>>151090622wow they are going ALL IN on donnie murdo, do enough people care about him still
>>151090250Technically they never said they have stretch goals plural. The only stretch goal they've said so far is David Jason voicing DM.
>>151090793All I've seen for the past few years is people begging for more DM, now /co/ is acting like no one is going to fund this and acting like it's going to be an embarrassing flop.
>>151088502Where's it being posted? And what time? How much is being shown? I am so fucking ready
>>151090250Boat Rocker probably set them. This is likely all just to measure Danger Mouse's popularity and see if it's still a viable profitable IP.
If there is a snes cartridge i am low key debaiting picking it up
They've been real stingy on Squawk, they haven't posted anything about her yet. If you can change the look to the classic 80s cartoon, how does that work for Squawk? That's got to change her voice lines considering Heinrich Squawkencluck was male.
>>151091346Danger Mouse fans are famously pessimistic, self-loathing, and generally into being beat downDo not know if it is a Danger Mouse thing or just because most fans are Brits
>>151092983>Danger Mouse fans are famously pessimistic, self-loathing, and generally into being beat downYeah I see this every time there's a 4chan tournament
>>151088502WHERE IS IT
>in the 80s style poster Penfold looks cowardly>in the 2015 style poster Penfold is doing a brave fighting pose just like Danger Mouse
>>151093655The reboot had way too many plots revolving around Penfold facing his fears or saving the day, they're probably pulling from that. It was like every time the show did it, they forgot and did it again thinking it was novel and broke the status quo. The proper way to write Penfold is to have his cowardice or his own hobbies save the day, not just make him do everything DM would do, otherwise you could just write DM doing it instead and the story would barely be any different. Or sometimes they just force Penfold to save the day by giving DM spontaneous nerfs/character flaws out of nowhere, and it's even more strange when they're one-off and never come up in the show again. When did DM ever lack empathy outside of the 1 episode saying he does?
>>151093897>When did DM ever lack empathy outside of the 1 episode saying he does?Danger Mouse 100% kills people on missions almost every episode. Addressing that legit would've been a more entertaining "DM lacks empathy" plotlineOh shit I just remembered there's a scene in Danger is Forever where some civilians are trapped on the London Eye and they aren't shown being rescued before DM shatters it into piecesHe's a canonical fucking terrorist
>>151094086>the authorities hurt you more than they help youThat's not terrorism, that's just real life
Bump
Still nothing on their channel
>>151094086Saving billions of lives at the expense of a few is just a large scale trolley problem
>>151094086True. Actually, it's strange how it's not brought up considering the show doesn't shy away from dark humour like that, like Penfold saying DM murdered a bunch of 5 year old children in the first episode. Granted, that was a misunderstanding, not lack of empathy.>>151096428Not exactly. The trolley problem is about action vs inaction, plus those few lives don't NEED to be expendable or sacrificed for the many. DM isn't doing something noble by doing that, he's just being careless, it's entirely avoidable and everyone can be saved. I forget which episode but there was an episode that touched on this, where Squawkencluck told DM he never plans ahead to prevent excess destruction. But that was about him being impulsive and stupid, not lacking empathy for others.
>>151088502Why are the danger mouse people so obsessed with making the show take place in either the desert or the arctic
Where. Is. It.
>>151088667I just watched videos of The Phantom and Lady Death and they've got the opposite problem. The animation is frame by frame drawn, it's just slightly choppy like they haven't added enough inbetweens. It could be stylistic though.
>>151097493>DM murdered a bunch of 5 year old children in the first episodereading these threads with no context on the show is always a wild ride
Holy fuck who cares about danger mouse? What are you, a bunch of fat, bald 45-year old british men?
>>151099293It's true but it wasn't on screenhttps://youtu.be/BXvJbnMbtwo&t=355
>>151099326What kind of freak gets upset over Danger Mouse of all things
>>151099326>45It had a reboot 10 years ago
Season 3?
>>151099293You're saying that as if watching the show would make that information run of the mill. I've seen every episode of the show and it's still a bizarre, shocking joke.
The old Dangermouse never killed anybody. Unless they deserved it.
>>151099733I don't remember him directly killing anyone back then, but I know he often left Greenback and Stiletto to die in whatever peril the toad had gotten them in instead of bothering to arrest them. And that probably only changed in the new series because the agents started getting incentivised to compete for who can arrest the most villains with the seemingly international Agent of the Month award. In the reboot series he's gone as far as rescuing villains and he refused to hit Ian in one of the games because "it would be like punching a kitten." The trade-off being he lets an insane amount of harm come to the people, evidently including children, he's supposed to protect. In a twist of irony it can be one of the more implicit ways of showing how selfish DM truly is now, he'll 9/11 half of London just to treat the baddies with kid gloves because he needs them to acquire status and praise.
>>151101737I'm seeing the Archer comparisons
>>151092406Probably include both Squawks.
>>151097493I'm actually a little sad that the humour in the reboot was rather predictable. Given it shared a lot of the same staff as Strange Hill High, I was expecting the humour to be far more original.
happy day we might see animation maybe day
>>151102499Strange Hill is so good that it's really shocking that Danger Mouse is just generic easy "retarded hero" stuff that we've seen a million times.
>>151088502Are any of the production crew from the 2015 series on board?
>>151102499I love Strange Hill High. Such an underrated show.
>>151102468Include the new Squawk in the old artstyle?
>>151099171The poses are stiff and rigid imo. Hopefully doing an explicitly cartoony style will encourage them to push the keys more.
>>151105198Hmm, that could be interesting. Don't know how her ass would translate in the old art style, though.
>>151105931What? Perhaps I'm easily pleased but they look fine to me, Mr Art Critic
I am waiting with bated breath for my dangerslop
>>151106168Aren't we all?
I don't know how to feel about my eventual grandkids having their own new gen Dangermouse reboot in a few years time. It's already been 10 years since 2015.
>>151107499The indie scene is on its way to stopping the nostalgiabait remake epidemic in its tracks, don't you worry your pretty little head anon
>>151107607>replacing feces with vomit
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yJikg1Y29Kw
>>151107864still kind of an improvement
I get as a standalone cartoon it's not that good, but as far as reboots go Danger Mouse is honestly among the best if not the best
>>151108342Eh DuckTales was better
>>151108385>nutales
>>151109047Woah... old meme
>>151107607You really think if BBC said to some indie studio "here is millions of dollars, make the next Danger Mouse for us" they would not do so?
>>151109080>the BBC>dollars
>>151109131You might be surprised there are non-UK DM fans
>>151109158EWW
So for their last game they had a £115,906 goal and raised £218,387I feel optimistic about this
>>151109447Those numbers seem incredibly low, even for indies. That would barely cover the wages of 2-3 people.
>>>/v/
>>151109773Dispatch and Disney Speedstorm get threads hereUnrelated, I wonder what they did to warrant this
>>151109158>You might be surprised there are non-UK DM fans
>>151110302The team are aussies and it's still earlyish morning for them
I love how the entire DM fandom would rather die than draw Penfold on-model
>>151112108I don't have many complaints about the fandom, especially compared to others, but I've always been baffled by everyone adopting the fanon surname "O'Malley" for DM. I don't know where it comes from or why it stuck when it's such a poor fit for someone undoubtedly from a well off British background. It sounds so chavvy or Irish. I hear it and think of the sleazeball street cat from The Aristocats.
>>151112293I've been reading danger mouse fanfic for years and literally never seen that name once what the fuck are yoy talking about
>>151112382>danger mouse fanfic>so much of it that there are multiple years of supply for even one personit's a funny old world
>>151112293I thought his name was Daniel Gordon Mouse. unless that's only in the original
>>151112382Is "Daniel O'Malley" not a fandom-wide thing? I've seen several different people use it at least, it's definitely not just 1 individual. I'm curious whether it was first used before or after the IT Crowd parody episode where DM's real name was Dane G. Mouse.
>>151112382nta I've only ever seen it in a fan comic
>>151112293When I was growing up, my dad told me his non-codename was David Mouse after Sir David Jason
>>151112452>>151112527Why would his surname be "Mouse"? Is your surname "Human"? Penfold's full name is "Ernest Penfold", it isn't "Ernest Hamster". Speaking of, how come nobody in the show bothers to call him Jigsaw? Isn't that against protocol?
I remember reading a fanfiction where Danger Mackerel was homophobic and disgusted by Danger Mouse and Penfold being in a relationship
>>151112807Danger CHADerel...
IT IS FUCKING MONDAY WHERES THE FOOTAGE
>>151112965It'll be out when it's out, and we like that.
>>151112670I don't know. maybe the writers are uncreative
>>151112293>I don't have many complaints about the fandom, especially compared to othersrazor blade cookies
>>151113522I can't remember if that was Steven Universe fans or Undertale fans
>>151112896Why is 4chan homophobic when it pioneered futas, traps and femboys?
>>151114619Those offer the illusion of straightness. Danger Mouse and Penfold are just bog standard seme and uke men.
>>151115080>seme and ukemoonrune babble
>>151115080Doesn't the illusion of straightness break the moment the hog gets whipped out though?
>>151088502Cool
>>151115080Fuck off with your twink shipping
>>151116210God I wish it were me having her grind her fat ass in my lap
>>151116210Reminder DM is a canon gilf appreciator
>>151116210You are still twink shipping here, just because you replace one brown partner with a fat ass with another brown partner with a fat ass doesn’t mean it’s not
Bumpity bump
>>151116952Did you just call a biological woman a "twink"
>/dmg/ waiting for our danger slop
4 hours ago>Here's a sneak peak of some alpha gameplay featuring DM and Penfold combat ahead of tomorrow's teaser release! Enjoy!I didn't know Tuesday was part of the weekend. Still, this looks kinda cool.
>>151118666
>>151118246No retard, DM is the twink in bothPenfold is not a twink even in the initial pairing because he has the opposite body frame of one
>>151118666The animation the reboot should've had
>>151118666WE'VE FORGOTTEN THE FRAMES, GROMIT
>>151119088At this point I think it's just their artstyle.
>>151119088It's early alpha test footage. It's honestly impressive they've done this much so far. Keep in mind they still have a whole year to work on the animation.
>>151118666The way they snap into poses is so ugly, and the artists refuse to turn the perspective of the characters' heads no matter how much their bodies twist because drawing them in anything except the default 3/4 would take effort.
>>151118666This looks amazing! Penfold's attack animation is freaking adorable
>>151115556You should know better than to talk about hogs in a Danger Mouse thread
