But then, Death Battle fell back on their face with Season 7, which has a Sonic episode. Now, Seasons 8 and 9 are arguably when this curse starts to wear off, as both have Sonic episodes and are some of the better seasons of Death Battle, but that's not to say they don't have duds like Akuma VS Shao Kahn and Jason VS Michael. They were followed by Season 10, which has no Sonic episodes and is a significant improvement over both, with even its weakest episode, Phoenix VS Raven, being superior to the aforementioned low points combined. Currently, we are in Death Battle '25, with no Sonic episodes so far and a mostly amazing lineup of fights. Sure, Death Battle '24 had Bowser VS Eggman, but it's kinda hard to count four episodes as a "season", and its episode lineup is still weaker than 10 and '25 anyways. So, do you think Death Battle should stop making Sonic episodes to prevent this curse from returning? Us fans are currently feasting with this new golden age of Death Battle and I don't want that blue hedgehog to get his grubby little hands on it.
