>Nightwing gets a new compendium every year >Tim hasn’t had any compendium after his firstWhy does DC not like Tim?
He’s the superfluous Robin.
>>151096572It's easier to make a compendium out of books that have been collected before in tradeYou're more likely to see a Kyle Rayner compendium two before you see the next Tim Drake book, while Nightwing had all of Dixon and then some collected relatively recently
>>151098994Another Kyle compendium is actually pretty likely since the first one just got reprinted.
>>151099080Well there you go, and I think they had collected all the way up to Ion iirc
>>151096572I mean lobo hasn’t gotten his second one either, omnibuses and compendiums take a lot of time for American comic books, nightwing probably just sells way more and there’s nothing wrong with that
>>151099080>Another Kyle compendium is actually pretty likely since the first one just got reprinted.I hope Ron Marz and Darryl Banks get paid for this
>>151099302They'd be going off the deals made at the time, so I assume so
>>151096572>Why does DC not like Tim?DC literally can't stop pushing Tim right now over Damian because unlike the latter, he doesn't have any baggage, he's the perfect default Robin, and was the writer's childhood Robin to boot.
>>151096572cool cover nigga
>>151096572>The third most published character in DC Comics History gets published more than his clone that I like.bruh
>>151099618>his cloneThe absolute state of Dick if his clone has better comics than he.
>>151099596This. Basically every writer since King has glazed Tim in some fashion. Tynion, Zdarsky, now Fraction. He's their favorite.
>>151096572Dick actually sells comics.
>>1510965721) It only came out like 18 months ago, give it some time and they might release a second one next year. If it’s not solicited any time next year then that mean Tim’s was a flop.2) Dick is 5x more popular than Tim at this point and sells way better than him. He weathered through almost 30 shitty issues and only got down to cancellation level in the last few months of it despite literally not being himself and having no advertisements or appearances in other batbooks at the time. Whereas Tim can’t even weather through 10 bad issues anymore despite DC pushing and advertising him.I wouldn’t be surprised if Dick’s next possible compendium (#83-probably OYL ie the bad half of Devin’s run and tentacle Jason) sells better than Tim’s.
>>151096572Tim's peak years featured Stephanie giving up her baby and being beat to death. Knightfall and his teamup with Huntress was the good material, and even in Knightfall, Tim lost to a man named Bird, which the only thing special about him was that he could talk to birds.
>>151099883Do you think Tim enjoys getting glazed?
>>151096572>why does a character who sells keep getting books and reprints when the guy who doesn’t sell doesn’t get that??No wonder Timfags like Tim, they wanna self insert as a smart guy to make themselves feel better about how fucking retarded they are
>>151101180I wonder if they'll bother with a 4th Nightwing compendium. The material hasn't been re-released before and the twitter mob will end up rediscovering the rape.
>>151101584I think they will, DC is stupid and has had too much goodwill with readers in the last year or so so they're due for a fuck up.Anyway #83-100& #107-124 would make a good size volume while putting all the absolute garbage in one volume and leave #125-#153 as the last volume. And in general Wolfman doesn't deserve to have his mediocre run lumped in with OYL.
Because Tim is over. He's been over ever since Morrison made Batman's biological son Robin. He's currently being propped up by writers who grew up reading Batman books during the 90s but even they can't give him good writing.
>>151101844Why would they continue the Knight in Bludhaven compendium past the destruction of Bludhaven? They'll end it with Devin Grayson's run. Or maybe that Andreyko Annual explaining away the engagement.
>>151102181To complete the entire volume you autist
>>151096572Is not hte 90s anymore anon.
>>151102251Seems unlikely.
>>151101844>>151101584Nightwing: A Knight in Blüdhaven Compendium One>Collects Nightwing (vol. 1) #1-4; Nightwing (vol. 2) #1-25, #1,000,000; Nightwing Annual #1; Wizard Presents: Nightwing #1/2; Nightwing and Huntress #1-4; Green Arrow (vol. 2) #134-135; Robin (vol. 2) #55; and Detective Comics #723-725 and #1,000,000.Nightwing: A Knight in Blüdhaven Compendium Two>Collects Action Comics #771; Batman Annual #23; Nightwing #26-59; Birds of Prey #8, #20-21; Nightwing Secret Files #1; Nightwing 80-Page Giant #1; Nightwing: The Target #1. Nightwing: A Knight in Blüdhaven Compendium Three>Collects Batman #600 and #605; Nightwing #60-82; The Flash Plus Nightwing #1; Birds of Prey #37; Batman: Gotham Knights #14, #16-17, and #20-21; Nightwing: The Target #1; Batman: The 10-Cent Adventure #1; Joker: Last Laugh Secret Files and Origins #1; Joker: Last Laugh #1-6; and Nightwing: Our Worlds at War #1.Each compendium has been about 1000 pages, give or take 200. Compendium Four would definitely cover Nightwing #83-100 and the War Games stuff (e.g. the 12-Cent Adventure, Tarantula's Gotham Knights issues, Batman 634). If the goal is to end with Infinite Crisis they could throw in the Batman and Nightwing arc from Under the Hood and end with #107-117 and Nightwing Annual #2. and wind up around 800-900 pages.
>>151104450If they sell well, DC is going to continue it considering how low their sales are for everything but Absolute
Why does Tim not understand that he's never going to measure up?
>>151105881Are Bruce and Dick getting married??
>>151105876Maybe following up A Knight in Bludhaven with A Knight in New York? Collect the Jones, Wolfman, and Tomasi runs all in one volume.
>>151096572I don't understand how people like any of the Robins and Batgirls.
>>151106862Dick Grayson is one of the best characters in superhero comics.
