In my opinion I feel like The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 is better than the original, not saying the original is the worst thing ever but it just has a lot of problems. The whole love interest is rendered pointless, the film is boring at some times, the abuse is too realistic and reminds me too much of my own childhood, the sequels just far more up upbeat and fun.

Disney exists to sell hope to hopeless people. That's kind of evil ngl.

It would have been fucked up that Quasimodo gets cucked in to being a babysitter for his love interest and rivals kid, so they had to give him a new girl.

Also, good for this movie for not making the new girl blind because that would have been really easy and obvious.

How many people are actually buying their hope, though?

Disney made two musicals centered around a canonically deaf man.
