As cool as using a bow and arrow is, I don't really understand why multiple characters have that as their sole gimmick. It's more of an accessory.
Well Hawkeye exists to fill the niche of Green Arrow for Marvel, and in the same universe others with the same technique are connected through things like student/teacher, copied your skills, or rivals. Also it is a way to have a character with "pull random crap out of their ass" as a skillset, but them all being Arrows makes them seem thematic.

>>151111344It's weird to me that both these characters generally avoid killing. It's like if you had a character who shot guns and was an expert sniper but he only shot people in the knees. I was reading Green Arrow year one and it was weird to me that Ollie is in this life or death survival situation sneaking around against these super evil slaver drug traffickers but he just keeps shooting them in the shoulder.
