Whats crazy to me about Mario vs Sonic 2 is that DB proved beyond any possible doubt that Mario doesn't just win, he completely god-stomps and simply cannot be defeated by Sonic.He's equal in strength, if not superior, than Hyper Sonic, and so durable that Hyper Sonic literally CANNOT hurt him even without his power ups.He also has access to every single power up he's ever collected across his history and has an infinite number of them thanks to Bottomless Gloves, so he can literally just spam Starman forever and has literally infinite one-ups and power stars.He resists all of Sonic's hax, He can't be hurt by any of Sonic's attacks, he hard counters everything Sonic can do, the only area where he wasn't completely dominant was in speed, and even then Mario was shown to have equal enough reaction and combat speed that he can just dodge/block/counter everything Sonic can do and was guaranteed to catch and kill him with ease, even pointing out that Base Sonic gets utterly obliterated by Mario. The alternate ending is weird, even if heartwarming in its own way. It was nice to see Kratos reunite with his daughter, but it feels weird to have him just stand there and take that punch.I haven't played Asura's game though (but after watching this fight I think I might watch a playthrough!) so I might be missing stuff but as a big GoW fan I thought they did Kratos justice and from what I saw they treated Asura with the utmost respect.
