>that episode where beethoven almost gets shot in the face by a psycho scientistThis was a fucked up show
>>151126334The what?
>>151126334In hindsight, this was a really fucked up movie to base a kids cartoon off ofBut then again we did get the Little Shop and Killer Tomatoes cartoons, soooo…
>>151126334It was the '90s, anon. People weren't as sensitive then.
>>151127175My family loved the Beethoven movie though. We watched it like 50 times.
>>151127422Clearly they didn't pay attention to the real plot
Beethoven (live action) is part of the magic of my childhood I can't interact with as an adult
>>151126334>>151127175>>151127475What plot? All I remember is the dad getting pissed at the massive drooling dog destroying his house
>>151127475There were two plots, one was the father trying to reconcile with a somewhat destructive family dog that he was afraid of becoming attached to, and the other plot was about animal cruelty and dark lab testing on animals. There wasn't really a lot more going on and unless your parents wanted to completely shelter you from the fact that there is ugliness in the world, I don't see what's inappropriate about the movie for kids.
>>151127721Can this be a prequel to Cujo?
>>151126334>that episode where beethoven gets rabies and kills the toddler girl
>>151127566Comedy GOLD!
>>151128035With some tweaks
>>151126334That didn't happen
>>151126334The only episode I vaguely remember of this cartoon was one where the family has to leave for a weekend, so they decide to leave him by himself, but pour three bowls of dog food for him, one for each day he'll be alone and then after they leave, some other dogs come around to talk to beethovena and they ask what was happening and Beethoven said he didn't quite know, but he was happy that they had put down his three meals for the day: Breakfast, lunch and dinner all set up for him.

>>151126334Fun fact, the dude who played the dog murderer in the movie voices the dad in the show, AND sounds almost exactly like him
>>151126334To be fair, Beethoven is a fucked up movie. https://youtu.be/YoPRfmjKf_Y
>>151130442It didn't?
>>151126334Was Kristi Noem was a producer on it?
>>151133265lolol
>>151126334Who had it worse, Beethoven’s owner or Marmaduke’s owner?
>>151135124Marmaduke’s.Dude literally has Satan in his house and does nothing about it
I recall the film ambigiously killed the evil scientist which seems pretty harsh in a comedy film when he could just be arrested or something.
>>151135366>You used to be a DOG!
>>151135124One owns a literal monster, the other is pissed over property damage and not using simple training
>>151126334Never watched this shit, sell me into it.
>>151132392I'm nostalgic for '90s ad voice-overs
>>151136556The dog is big and destroys everything. He also lives with a generic sitcom family with Dean Jones as the dad. Did I mention THE DOG TALKS?
>>151135413Someone needs to do a redraw for this show
>>151133265kek
>>151126334>I DON’T WANT A DOG, IT DROOLS AND SHEDS AND DESTROYS EVERYTHING>gets a dog anyways
>>151139115Do suburbans really?
>>151128660kek
>>151139115Men do dumb shit for their family.
>>151140167ONLY men?
>>151130442It did
>>151136685Silly, dogs don't talk
>>151128660No, no! BAD DOG!!!!!
>>151126334I mix up this movie and Harry and the Hendersons a lot in my head.I think it's because the plots were broadly similar and they might have used the same sets for the house
>>151126334That dog is TOO BIG
>>151126334>"What if dog, but big?" was considered a good enough idea in the 1990s to produce a $20M film, a theatrical sequel, six direct-to-video sequels, and an animated series. And Millenials have the gall to say that the industry is creatively bankrupt *now*.
>>151126334that was in the movie
>>151126334what
>>151144479was it really?
>>151126334This show is highly satanic because it prommotes beastiality
>>151128660Tragic
>>151126334Beethoven had more potential for a tie-in series than Free Willy. Yet both had shows.
>>151126334beeth oven
>>151144034Why didn’t that get a animated seriesAnimated family sitcom but BIG MONKE has so much potential(yes i’m aware there was a live action sitcom)
>>151146101huh?
>>151126334It was a different time
>>151150210How different was it?
>>151151086Different enough.
