Computer, delete the character that looked at me funny when I asked for a bucket to throw out all of the breading that I peeled off my sweet and sour chicken.
Eh.
I would probably do the same. But I'm also a fatcel, like Ronnie
>>151127393It's really genuinely astounding that Gene Roddenberry, maybe the horniest man to ever write sci-fi, could not imagine a future where humans, upon having replicators and holodecks, would just lock themselves inside a holographic paradise with unlimited food and holographic sex.
>go on multi-year hitatus>return an unfunny hack
>>151127393>Tfw i've been thrown out of a chinese buffetI mean i know i was kind of abusing the group discount and shit but it was a birthday, you know?
>>151127393>"computer, disable safety protocols"
>>151128420you are trying too hard to shit in every thread at once. the whole "every thing sucks yikes" doesn't make you cool, it juts make you sound like a fat child at the supermarket.
>>151128502"evacuate the holographic children"
>>151128848it's shit.
how is it that his art is so much worse than it used to be
>>151128971looks the same to me
>>151128246>would just lock themselves inside a holographic paradiseThey literally had episodes about this with Lieutenant Barclay, and mention multiple times its a well known problem for some people. Once getting into a holodeck they get addicted and have trouble coping with the real world afterwards.
>>151130242It was probably sugar.
>>151127393>that legendthe idea of the holodeck breaking protocol for a second just to express their disgusted at ronnie is golden
>>151128246>>151129135I'd need some futuristic aphrodisiacs and other meds for it to really be a paradise.
>>151129135>>151130710It always bothered me that Riker did the whole Holodeck fantasy and found his "true love" but never got shit for it unlike Barclay and Geordie
>>151130797Riker abuses his higher rank to avoid condemnation
>>151128848He's not exactly wrong though.
>>151128246I mean, after a certain point you'd probably try something else. Food and sex is great and all but eventually you'd probably go "Oh yeah I can have an Indiana Jones adventure here" and do that instead. And then probably incorporate food and sex into that.
>>151130797Riker's was a honeypot so the Binars had someone to turn the lights back on. Geordi's was mostly ChatGPT where he gave it a profile pic of someone who later showed up in person and was weirded out their face was saying weird sycophantic shit, but easily explained away as "I was brainstorming in a life or death situation and I didn't have time to tell it to turn down the flirtiness." Barclay is the fucking weirdo downloading everyone's profile picture and photoshopping them in to porn or basedjacks.
>>151129135Barclay was using the holodeck to run spiteful and mean-spirited programs instead of addressing his socially maladjusted personality. That was the real problem. He wasn't in there fucking a dozen Trois at a time every day for 18 hours a day until he lost his job. But I give them a pass because early TNG wasn't always sure what it wanted to say and sometimes a plot was just an excuse to use a set or some costumes from the studio's collection.
It's fine.
>>151128420go back to your QC threads screaming about Uooooh with Dr. Loli or whatever, then
>>151131362This. Roddenberry accepted that this sort of hedonism would happen, but he also believed that it was a phase that people would grow out of after they found it empty and unsatisfying and sought real challenges and accomplishments instead of fake accolades from fake people.
>>151129135>>151127393it's strongly implied that Barclay is crossing lines and fucking holo-colleagues in the holodeck but the 24th century is so enlightened people just don't care as long as he gets help to stopsince Barclay was introduced and has his second appearance before Gene died (of just 5 appearances in the run of TNG and 12 overall, with half of those in Voyager), and since Gene was technically still showrunner up until his death, this anon >>151128246 is a fat moron with a gross ass and a disgusting smell and he likes to smell his own smell
So why has Whomp become the "Ronnie imagines he's in Star Trek" comic? I'm not complaining, but it's an interesting development.
>>151132154And the in turns out those fake people could become self aware and be real.
>>151128246I thought there was a heavy implication that Earth and most of the federation population just chooses that. With replicators and holodecks, the basic needs of everybody is met. You have to remember that members of Starfleet are supposed to be the best of the best of humanity and have actual interest in exploration and science, so they either know how to pace themselves with their excesses or don't even care that much about the usual food/sex/thrills. Hell, guys like Picard used the holodeck to ride horses and just have a cup of coffee in a café in Paris. The average starfleet officer would just be too disciplined or have such refined tastes they wouldn't care about the more sexual aspects of it.
>>151130242Ironically he would probably love the food in-universe since it's abundant but tastes like processed slop because of replicators.
>>151132632Holodecks were introduced and had episodes like the self-aware hologram that Riker wants to fuck, well before Barclay, retard.
>>151133247riker didn't lock himself in and go crazy like barclay, fat moron with a gross ass and a disgusting smell and he likes to smell his own smell
>>151133344Neither did Barclay. If you recall, him not locking the holodeck at all is why he got caught.
>>151133371Why do you think it locks from the insiiiiiide?

>>151130242i dont get it, did this fat guy really just watch star trek in the last year or something? thats like if i wanted to make a comic(s) where i was a highlander because i saw highlander last week
>>151138155making comics won't make you the highlander there can be only one
>>151138155He's always been a fan. He probably did a TNG rewatch recently
>>151138628i understand, i just want to know the reason why all his comics are star trek haha funi nowadays
>>151138672Because star trek funi
>>151138702yes
>>151138672He had a few ideas of Star Trek jokes and he's having so much fun making them that he just let it ride until he gets bored. I encourage it.

>>151139420R-Ronnie bussy...
>>151138973Ronnie as a little goblin man... There's always the plot point "Whatever happened to the First Federation?" They were the previous galactic federation, as seen in The Corbomite Manouver- they had massive dome-ball ships, and were all big-brained dwarves. They sold tranya orange juice because they were basically "retired people" as a species. If Ronnie ever turned out to be a space alien, he'd turn out to be, or be mistaken as, a child of these guys.

>>151128848NTA but the comic is noticeably worse.
>>151141340Yeah but i get it, one last payday for an old ass man to do with as he pleases
May as well hijack this thread to ask a tangibly related question:Does anyone know what happened to the old TNG edits that were on youtube years ago? There was a whole series of high quality YTP. I recall Andrew Hussie linked to them a few times on MSPA but I was never sure if he was the one making them or a friend of his. They were pretty much exclusively TNG and were better made than most of the YTP you see, quality editing without relying on just making the video skip or random loud noises.
>>151133095I imagine a Picard level character could get laid any time there is any amount of shore leave. The bridge crew of the enterprise are literally the best and brightest of stat fleet, itself already the best and brightest of the federation. And pleasure worlds like Riza exist.
>>151142008looks like most of them got take down, which is hardly surprising for copyright material - hussie wouldn't care enough to spend time arguing parody with a YT bothttps://www.youtube.com/@andrewhussie/videossome are preserved herehttps://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLKA_WqdzIF5XlKBO60F4YBW20qElfoQ6ymy recollection is that Ryan North was also involved?
>>151141218there's good reason to believe that Roddenberry may have personally invented cocaine
>>151142155Then he never used it if he thinks your brain chemistry being directly manipulated by a specialized bot would ever lose out. You'd need to grow up from your first moments of independence avoiding holosex, holodrugs, and rock&holoroll to not rewire your brain to need it to live.
Ronnie's comic is making me dizzy.
Just popped in and waited 120 seconds to say I have never ever found a single issue of this guy’s comics to be funny. I don’t think I’ve ever smiled at a whomp in my life. All the jokes are usually just the same thing, what type of audience is this for?
>>151142230>what type of audience is this for"Ah, a thing." readers. There's a lot of them. There are many newspaper comics so bland and unentertaining, that they count as it's a thing. Not a good thing, or an entertaining thing, but it's a thing to read, think over- but not too much, and go on to the next thing. It makes me think that maybe the harlequin books had an audience for a reason that wasn't cheap romance stories- same as having 6 Batman comics in the same month."Captcha- johkr
>>151139040if starfleet issued me that, i would run towards the nearest living thing and kill it
>>151142594They're opt-in, they're pretty much just there to show that the skirts in TOS were being worn voluntarily.

>>151142230>what type of audience is this for?People with a sense of humor
>>151140958He exists
>>151144271Because Ronnie killed my grandma, okay?!
>>151127393I imagine food in the holodeck is just real replicated food. Otherwise it wouldn't taste good.So you couldn't just eat forever without gaining weight or anything.
>>151144978correct. i assume ronnie understands that too, because he's the shape of a fucking bowling ball
>>151128246This is because the writers were somehow less imaginative than the dweeb Gene Roddenberry. He imagined the core systems (Earth, etc) to be more transhumanist with odd, unrecognizable societies, with the more adventurous going out into the unknown to engage in Cowboy Time (Kirk, etc).
>>151142230Would love to know what (You) think is funny
>>151142185Anon he was writing about a perfect future, not living in one. His drug use is well documented.
