I like that they walk that line where they do know everything they did before, but are so completely warped by the drive for violence that half of them can't commit to planning ahead, and the half of them that can think it's funnier to just get themselves killed anyways--but they're also so driven that you can't count them out and they WILL be clever or act on knowledge they had ahead of time.I've always held that it's the next logical step in zombies/infected. The idea each time is to take something that's still human, but completely warped into being a new monster that embodies one of the species' traits and is driven completely by compulsion, no matter how much they still look like a person or how much of their memories are still inside. For Romero, it was humanity's endurance and the compulsion to eat flesh. For 28 Days, it was humanity's adrenaline and the compulsion for violent rage. For the Crossed, it's humanity's intelligence and a compulsion to commit evil. It works and falls in line with the rest in just how complete the transformation is, to where it's not just "people turned evil," they specifically become the CrossedWhich is a shame given how fukken mediocre 90% of the series is, l-mao

I actually really enjoy the Ennis and Spurrier stuff as horror comics but most everything else I’ve seen is just gore and violence oh and Moore’s obviously was great too.

That one set in the future where the crossed managed to create a society somewhat was also interesting.Basically all the stories that aren't just about them killing people for thrills and try to flesh out the world are my favourites.Never got to read the ones that explain how the disease started.
I always had a huge dislike for Ennis an this comic is basically everything I hate about this hack and his juvenile writing.
