>superhero
>is either foodstamps barely above homeless poor or a literal billionaire
Why is this?

That's life. What are the odds of a rich guy getting super powers?

They're the ones with the most free time, people can't be bothered to fight crime in the 6 hours of life a day they're not working, commuting or sleeping.

Is Clark Kent not middle-class?
>>
>>151127861
Most are middle class
>>
Peter's the only one in that situation because he's written to be that way
This is a guy with dozens of medical and tech patents yet has not a cent to his name

That's it piggy, eat your slop.

Practically every version of Clark Kent's apartment that we've ever seen has been a fucking mansion. Daily Planet paychecks must be fucking fat.

billionaire heroes handwave all the logistics of having extremely advanced tools
poor heroes are more relatable

however, the first and most famous superhero was an upper middeclass journalist
there are actually quite a few middle class heroes like the flash, a forensic scientist, and daredevil, a lawyer
so given that we have lower, middle, and upper class superheroes, as well as heroes who live outside the US economic system entirely like the silver surfer
its perhaps fairer to say superheroes come from all walks of life

>Peter's the only one in that situation because he's written to be that way
he was written based on what poor looked like in the 1940s
so he lived in a stand-alone, single family house in the middle of new york
and in his first appearance he gets a new microscope as a gift from his aunt and uncle

when he moved out of college, and out of harrys swanky townhouse, he actually lived fairly okay until he married MJ and got upgraded to a supermodels apartment
he generally lived a modest lifestyle, but actually living one missed rent away from living on the streets was a more recent development that was made famous by the raimi movies

that rundown shithole in Chelsea? the one where if the bathroom got too steamy the ceiling would and did fall in several times and to do repairs himself because the landlord was a piece of shit but it was cheap?
>>
Now that I think of it, I can't remember any comfortably middle class superheroes
>>

Both are highly satanic because they worship bats and spiders

No, the one he and MJ lived in for a bit because the millionaire owner of the building had the hots for MJ
And then kidnapped her

Johnathan Ceasar, that was his name
A few appearances in the early 300s of Amazing
That's when Peter Parker lived in a penthouse
