I think that too, don't get me wrong, great episode, but I tought Bryce was going to be more "intellignet" or have his redeeming moment but in the end was just a retard, I didn't liked that because with Hatemonger and Chetnut episode showed that they gave the Idea of Chestnut to be the classic Underdog, yeah maybe he fails sometimes it's not the best, but at the given moment he can prove himself he did, while for Bryce for me it make me felt dissapointed on the character, maybe is intended and in my canon maybe this is how the "Chaos" of Spacekign manifest with a "dumb" guy who is hated by his peers and decide to go against them

Bryce isn't that good of an imaginator. His invention lack a serious follow through. Take the translator, on paper sounds like a good idea but he just impales the alien causing it to scream in agony.
