I don't like how lois is such a rude cunt to Jimmy in this book. I get that he's obnoxious, but he's trying to do what's right and he's hanging in there through all the shit. There's no need to be so mean to him. Otherwise Absolute Superman is feeling like a slog again. It got interesting there for a few issues, but I guess I just don't like it that much.I thought this issue of AGL was excellent. Very well written, paneled, and paced. The heart it brings adds gravity to the cosmic horror element the book has been striving for since issue 1. Also I like Jo's big fat ass.

I suspect Joker's operation and Arks have had some collaboration with Lazarus since even before the meeting in Absolute Evil. In that it was implied that Ra's was at least familiar with Joker so it's not unreasonable that they have worked together. They may have agreed to not step on each others' toes, so maybe Joker gets to do the malfeasance in North America while Lazarus btfos the thirdies.

My only issue with modern Ewing is that he takes too long to get to the point, even when the plot is supposed to be ambiguous. I think he's doing a better job with Immortal/Mortal Thor but even then it takes like 5 issues before a major thing happens. I dunno if that's the consequences of being subjected to being trapped in X-Men books for a couple a years but someone should try to get him his mojo back
