These are always fun. Take any Marvel or DC bad guy, C-Z lister, and rework them either visually or motivation wise for more widespread appeal/future story potential. Keep in mind that this doesn't necessarily mean a power boost or edginess, merely finding a interesting place in the fictional narrative. This could be relatable working class criminal or otherwise.Iron Man's rogue's gallery seems like a great place to start, as his villains are somewhat less memorable than most Marvel heroes. Like take The Unicorn for example, what could we do with him?
>>151204417>asking /co/ to create anything for once instead of bitching about the state of things
>>151204417Drop the weird third eye on a stalk, remember that he's actually a fairly formidable superhuman combatant without the suit, remember that he's also a former intelligence agent, revamp his costume. Personally I say crib from Metal Gear Solid and go with a high-tech, sexualized, tactical aesthetic.
>>151204417I'm just gonna take a bunch of Spidey's Z-Listers and rework them for Miles>Hypno HustlerMore or less the same powerset, but change his origin and motivation to just being an arrogant music snob who goes to the same school as Miles and brainwashes people with his music to trash any youtube singers or musicians that aren't him.>Fifth Avenue Phantom (Or just the Phantom)Make him Miles' main villain or at least a very prominent antagonist. His identity is a total mystery, but he somehow knows who Miles is and devotes a lot of his criminal connections to making Miles' life a living hell.>Doctor CoolInstead of a diamond smuggler with ice powers, make him a therapist with low grade psychic powers that he uses to fuck with his patients' minds in a way that makes them feel good and want more, so they're willing to steal stuff for him to get another fix. (Stuff like diamonds)
>>151206919Hypno Hustler needs a redesign too.
>>151207303His classic design can still work. Though I'd also be down for him having a more modern look to fit with what I suggested.
>>151206641>Drop the weird third eye on a stalkThat's not even the original Unicorn, that's the second one, from the Soviet Super Soldiers comic. The even more psychotic than usual one. There's also a third version of the Unicorn who was Australian.
>>151206641The wierd eye on a silk is cool. Hes supposed to be unnerving and overpowered freak.
>>151206919Nah, Miles just needs to continue getting his own rogues and using the new ones across multiple writers instead of taking Peter's.Rabble, Assessor, and his uncle are a half way decent start with others who are kinda there but have potential if writers build on them.
>>151207735First one got an eyestalk later on. >>151207874That's nice, but an eyestalk has nothing to do with his name or MO and isn't even an original feature.
I actually think Unicorn's costume design wise can work, but maybe some mild color palette tweaks. Perhaps he has an obsession with the rare, "unicorns" of the tech industry, basically hired to steal or destroy game changing tech that can dramatically alter the business. He's the status quo keeper of the tech world. Though he could use an actual horn. A multitool that can be swapped or changes on the fly, commanded by his thoughts. The joke is that its hands free
>>151207993He has a magic horn type thing sticking out of his forehead. His destructive power thebequicaldmt of the magical unicorn hotn
>>151204417I liked what the animated adaptations have done with UnicornReally emphasizing the tech helmet and the Carol Danvers helmet hair suits the design pretty well too
>>151208171Ah yes, the unicorn, known primarily for the fleshy tube ending with an eyeball coming from its forehead.
>>151207993>First one got an eyestalk later on.When did that happen? Did someone just get confused between different iterations of Unicorn?>>151208171This pic was definitely the second Unicorn.
>>151208307Absolutely. I love the Armored Adventures design. It's kinda of Guyver-esque. Tony's villains should all be some kind of cybernetic-knight or tech dragon.
>>151208307>>151208474giving blizzard a sick catchphrase and a heavily armored cryogenic suit really turned him from B-lister to one of the coolest, no pun intended, bad guys
>>151208307>>151208474>>151208489These designs are crap.
>>151208489This just makes him look like discount Mr. Freeze. The Comic Sans doesn’t help.
>>151208528says you
>>151211677They objectively are. Unicorn's is bad because it looks more bug than anything else. Something you'd see out of Guyver or Kamen Rider. Blizzard is incredibly generic and lost the blue
>>151208474>>151208489I don't like having every iron man villain be armored
>>151211901I think giving them armor helps justify them staying recurring villainsIron Man's flying around in a tank on rockets. He can just hit them and it's worse than a truck running them overGiving them some armor helps to level the playing field
>>151212194You can also go the other way and make them horribly mutated genetic freaks with tumor-like healing factors.
>>151212470Get out of here mutie scum
>>151208307honestly, armored adventures did all of starks rogues gallery a serviceblizzard normally looks like a knockoff venom halloween costume. there he looks like someone stark would take seriously
>>151204417I'm not so sure an Iron Man villain needs a Unicorn theme or name to begin with. It's just kind of weird.
>>151208489No fucking way. Blizzard is a cooler and more interesting random Chad in a super powered zentai suit who gets roped into the villain game via bad luck and you have people wanting to help him try and reform him.
>>151211855Saying a guy looks like he came from Guyver or Kamen Rider sounds inherently like a positive. Agree on Blizzard though in that I prefer his comic costume personally and characterisation despite liking most of Armoured Adventure's renditions of Ironman villains.
>>151208489Helps that he looks a bit like rom space knight
>>151208171Creepy
>>151204417I like the logo
>>151212547Its just another guy in a bland power armor, kind of dull
>>151207902Nobody knows or cares about the ones I suggested at least. Two of them aren't even actually canon. Miles can fucking have them.
>>151208489>>151209902I actually like how Blizzard built a super suit instead of just more bulky armor. A lot of Iron Man's villains are armored guys. Someone who perfected the skin tight, superpowers simulating super suit is kind of rare among them.
>>151207902Spider-Man has enough knockoffs of his own villains that you can hand the knockoffs to someone else and it still kind of works. Give Miles the secondary guys like Stegron, Jack-O-Lantern, Hydro Man, Calypso, Black Tarantula, and maybe one of the other Dock Ock's and Scorpions.
>>151206919>Fifth Avenue Phantom (Or just the Phantom)Rename him into The Ghetto Ghost to make it really work
>>151204417make him magically possessed and obsessed with virgins and purity.>>151208489I'd prefer if he drove a weather dominator semi truck or tank. Actually make his power a snowstorm and have him wear some kind of crazy subzero armor that let's him fight in the storm. Force iron man to upgrade to fight him.
>>151217935Then make blizzard have a surprise twist second phase because the weather dominator is actually an insane sci-fi heat pump and he's been charging a thermal lance that can cut through buildings.
>>151214543I thought his underwear was part of it
>>151207303Hypno Huster is one of those characters that was fine as a one off and would only be brought back because LE HECKIN' WACKY XD ironic shit.
What do you guys think about Schiti's redesign for Dread Knight?
>>151221079It lives up to his last name.
>>151208489That sucks though. Blizzard is one of those characters that works because he's basically the likable loser. I think every rogues gallery needs a character like that. Spider-Man has Shocker, Captain America had Porcupine, Batman has Kite Man, Iron Man has Blizzard.
>>151208489That looks cool.
>>151208307>>151208474Unicorn looked better than Killer Shrike
Turna D. Century: A girl who is obsessed with the late 90s and the pre 9/11 world. She uses weapons based on late 90s gadgets like killer Tamagotchis and CD players. Makes out of date references to the Spice Girls and Bill Clinton.
>>151223590And I forgot to mention, basically just an updated Turner D. Century, a minor Marvel Z-list villain
Becky St. Jude AKA LockdownEnraged by Ms. Marvel's newfound mutant status, she partners with the Orchis for her plasma armor to be cybernetically implanted to ensure she'll never be powerless around the Mutant Menace. Make her an intensely driven arch enemy for Kamala, who really doesn't have a arch nemesis. Bonus if the cybernetics makes her more unhinged, her obsession having a nearly sapphic effect on her, making her intensely jealous of Naika, Zoe, or any woman she sees around "her target"
>>151223590Needs a better name that fits with the motif but still evokes the same kind of pun. Something like Yvonne Yvette Knight or whatever and she goes by Y2K.
>>151223817Damn 4chan doesn't let you type the squared 2?
>>151223763Becky was cute. It's a shame most of the actual writing was awful.
>>151224924Evil Lesbian Becky would be a cute nemesis >intense surveillance of Ms. Marvel but subconsciously stops herself from ever learning her identity because she finds the mystery attractive >burning hatred of the female champions for getting to be so close to her>already has a padded cell ready for Kamala with a love bed>tells Kamala that she just wants to keep her safe from The X-Men and anti-mutant terrorists
>>151223763For maximum Becky trolling her plasma armor needs to be internalized through an implanted X-gene.>>151223590>>151223640Probably the one time where introducing the kid of an established character would be the best option.
>>151213889not really, no
