The leaks say that when Vox hypnotized Angel Dust to smear the hotel, Charlie and co. aren't upset with him as they know he is being hypnotized. so what was even the point of this other than Angel Dust torture angst? A lot of the things Angel Dust divulged to Vox were unnecessary or already known. Vox could clearly see Charlie was spiraling just from visiting the hotel. Charlie was going around telling everyone that Pentious was redeemed. Charlie was very open about the exorcists coming to the hotel in S1. Angel Dust only just happened to run into Vaggie by coincidence and just happened to be able to hear Lucifer divulge his weakness. This entire hypnosis plot barely changes anything and had zero build up.

People are bitching about Lucifer but the dumbest writing decision of this season is retconning Angel into being an unwilling spy for Vox. First of all, Vox makes their phones and probably every other piece of technology in the hotel. He could already easily spy on them. Second of all, Charlie was already so stupid and had no real plans besides "IDK I'll wing it" that Vox didn't even need to spy on her. Katie could've just called him up when Charlie booked the interview. He could've figured out the Lucifer thing through a gift that smuggled in or something. The Angel thing exists for the sake of drama and to make him leave the Hotel.
