Warhammer Fantasy is dead in the water

Warhammer the old world and Total War Warhammer 3.
>>
>>151296701
GW would never allow it
why? because its warhammer fantasy
and not because of >>151296908 but because its simply NOT age of sigmar

GW would NEVER allow something like a cartoon to outshine AoS, it's their second main breadwinner (ignore how it has no impact outside of the tabletop and had a other videogame about it be cancelled that we literally just found out about)

the complete apathy people have towards AoS shoots something like this down instantly, the people dont care about AoS, and GW is too stubborn to admit it

Does this even have any meaning anymore?
At this point I'm more believing that we keep getting newfags around here that know 2-3 classic buzzwords and post them without any idea what the fuck they are saying at all.

Here’s a clear breakdown of the main points from the 4chan /co/ thread you’re viewing:

Main Topic
The original poster (OP) suggests the idea of a high-budget Netflix cartoon adaptation of Gotrek and Felix (Warhammer Fantasy characters), with pragmatic adaptations of the novels.

Warhammer Fantasy vs. Age of Sigmar
Some users argue Warhammer Fantasy is “dead in the water.”

Others counter by pointing to The Old World (TOW) project, Total War: Warhammer 3, and ongoing support for Vermintide 2 as signs of life.

A key point raised: Games Workshop (GW) would likely block such a cartoon because it could overshadow Age of Sigmar (AoS), which GW prioritizes as a main product line despite its weaker cultural impact.

Community Reactions
Debate over whether AoS is successful or “dog eggs” (slang for bad).

Some posters dismiss AoS as unpopular, while others note GW’s stubbornness in pushing it.

A tangent emerges about representation in adaptations (e.g., black “Germans” or Egyptians), sparking arguments about historical accuracy vs. modern diversity.

Meta Commentary
Several posts criticize “newfags” (new users) for misusing old buzzwords like “Reddit and Felix.”

Some users express frustration at repetitive or meaningless memes in the thread.

In short: The thread debates whether a Gotrek and Felix Netflix cartoon could ever happen, with most agreeing GW wouldn’t allow it because it might outshine Age of Sigmar. The discussion branches into AoS’s popularity, Warhammer Fantasy’s relevance, and side arguments about representation and fandom culture.

Would you like me to reframe this into a structured reference sheet (like you often use for archiving fandom discussions), so you can easily pull thematic points for your Warhammer writing projects?
