>Massive mary sue that only wins thru asspulls, lol sun, lol amped and lol speech
>Grows new form or powers that get forgotten next issue

>Is not worthy of his power due to lack of training and effort outside making his "human self" Clark Kent a weak beta and abuses his god given superior power constantly on normal people and to get scoops before other reporters can

>Constantly depicted as a moron in games and movies. (JL Dark Apokolis has him plan to attack the hellfire planet with Martian Manhunter, also welcomes Brainiac into earth in SS KTJL)

>His son protests climate change despite being able to just fly to the antartic and freeze more icebergs at any time or throw all the garbage on earth to space

>Unprofitable. His apparently super beloved character didnt save Multiversus, Snyderverse nor made a profit in his latest Gunnverse movie, also already got left in intensive threatment by Bloodsport and killed in a future event in creature comandos.

>So inconsistent that he has passed out from moon level and planet level explosions, nukes, megaton explosions, kiloton amped sun gauntlet punches, flying at mach 7 or slower than bullets to being stated to be able to hurt multiversal foes and outpace light

>Superman Prime One Million not only died to the unkindness to the point his will was broken and Cosmic Armor/Thought Robot not only is not something he can operate on his own, but died to the HEAT of a billion suns

>Outsold by Demon Slayer in both comics and movies

>Constantly compared to Goku, who actually trains for his powers, focuses on his family, in humble by training under masters, seeking improvement and doesnt lie to his loved ones by pretending to be a weakling "human"

>Needs money to the point he agreed to a KFC, RWBY, Subway and Axe bodyspray collab and making one sided anime/manga cameos in their stories to people go "Oh boy they added Yuji Itadori from Jujutsu Kaisen in a DC Comic!"

So i ask again, why do you like or pretend to like Superman?

1. Superman isn't the only character to win through asspulls, though. Seems like a somewhat common trope to me.

2. Another fairly somewhat common trope.

3. Don't see an issue with Clark Kent's lack of training and effort. Kryptonians and Saiyans are to entirely different races in entirely different and unrelated continuities. What next, "why hasn't Supes gone full Omni-Man, Homelander, and Sentry, yet?"

4. There's more an issue with certain writers either not understanding the character and whatever.

5. An issue with certain writers.

6. MultiVersus ALSO with characters from Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, DC Comics, Cartoon Network, HBO shows (Game of Thrones), WB/New Line Cinema movies, oh, and LeBron James. Moviegoing and cinematic universes have taken noticeable hits since COVID. DCEU gradually fizzled out and DCU is far from DOA.

7. An issue with certain writers and powerscaling in general.

8. An issue with certain writers and powerscaling in general.

9. Demon Slayer isn't putting Superman out of business, though. For context, Demon Slayer's manga ran from 2016 - 2020 and the anime ran from 2019 - 2024 (barring the movies, of course). It also wasn't being rebooted and retconned to death like Superman, a character who debuted in 1938 and has dozens upon dozens of comics, TV shows, and movies in the past 87 YEARS.

10. Both Supes and Goku are culturally relevant characters who can co-exist, but this and the previous question reek of being stealth "east vs west" bait. Also, see #3.

11. Nothing wrong with having characters do collabs and make cameo appearances. Both are somewhat common these days that can at least add to brand awareness.

*are two entirely different races (#3)
*ALSO failed with (#6)

Also, as someone who doesn't read comics but is familiar with Superman and Batman through many TV shows and movies, this scene looks very wholesome. Why were certain DC writers and editors hellbent on ruining this wholesome dynamic?

Now that I think about it, one common issue I noticed from replying to this thread is that DC have hired questionable writers to handle one of its most iconic characters. Must be tough to find good writers for comics these days.

Because in a world full of "muh moral grayness" bullshit, Superman does the right thing because it's the right thing to do— fuck cynicism and nihilism. He is powerful, and uses that power for good. He's a proper paragon.

You have to give Superman some credit for being the original proto type super hero . But yeah he is bustedy overpowered and tropey white bread man.
Obviously that is his thing

He's a hero :)
>>

I mean yeah, he was created to embody what most (moral) people would aspire to do with super powers.

He was also created back when it was easier to create and market simple stories, especially when aimed at younger audiences.
He doesn't need too much to him, unless you're feeling up to it.

He's a boyscout/god.
Simple as.
