What do you think of this era and its characters?
>>151320624My favorite.Admittedly it's one of the first superhero things I read as a child so I'm biased, but I think it's a genuinely good, unique take on heroics that remains fresh, despite how old it is.Pretty foundational to several characters.
>>151320624I liked it a lot. I have no idea why DC Editorial decided to ruin every character associated with this era. Odd that Guy freaking Gardner made it out the most unscathed.
>>151321388Ted has been somewhat rehabilitated as of late, serving as a kind of supporting scientist/engineer guy for the League. And Booster has received some respect over the years, despite King (actually, the whole JLI took a lot of damage from King, though it was mostly non-canon; Booster's damage was), and his current situation.
>>151321746Yeah, King's current trashing of Booster and Captain Atom are fresh in my mind. Drove me actually crazy because I have a friend who looooves King comics and I cannot say anything bad about it or they get upset.
>>151320624It's peak
>>151321388>Odd that Guy freaking Gardner made it out the most unscathed. He got lucky, since they made John the world destroyer at the last minute.
>>151321388They were too lighthearted for them
>>151320624>What do you think of this era and its characters?I think it's not the Grant Morrison JLA and for that reason it is irrelevant.
>>151320624They have a bad case of giffen face
>>151321782>I have a friend who looooves King comics and I cannot say anything bad about it or they get upset. That's not a friend. A friend accepts your opinions even if they're 180 degrees opposite of his.
Probably the only time I have enjoyed the Justice League. I generally prefer individual heroes rather than super teams but JLI and JLE were both extremely well written and fun. The story around it is pretty funny too. Some great humor but also a lot of the stories knew how to be serious when necessary. In particular, most of the stuff involving the Exterminators was pretty intense.
