Ratatouille fucking sucks. There, I said it. Completely overrated. Doofus shit main character.
Ratatouille sucks indeed. Boring, pretentious and mostly charmless. Then again, what did you expect from the producer of Antz?
>>151320842I stand with you.
Lou Romano got a whole movie and he's still only remembered for this scene in Incredibles
Agreed. The movie itself is boring as fuck. The idea of making food tasting an orgasmic sensation is cringy. The rat is annoying as fuck. The lanky loser is an outright scumbag that goes gaga with the slightest taste of money. The romance between him and the tsundere tomboy is terribly unrealistic. The Jafar midget is just a moustsche twirling baddie with the character depth of a piss stain. The only thing good was the soundtrack, very relaxing although maybe too much stereotipically french for my taste.
>>151320842I didn't care for Linguini but honestly he wasn't focused on enough for it to be annoying. I really liked this movie. I like that the ending is happy but not perfect, it's more realistic (relative to a world where rats can understand humans and cook)
>>151320842Absolute utter SHIT!!!!! taste.
>>151320842Over the years I've grown sick of Patton Oswalt's voice so that definitely gets to me. I think i watch it purely for Ego's ending speech and the Parisian vibes which will only exist in fantasy from now on.
>>151321043Your beloved cartoon movie is really overrated and it's objectivily bad, deal with it.
>>151321013You’re kind of right. Ego was the only interesting character in this movie.
>>151321082>and the Parisian vibes which will only exist in fantasy from now onWhy?
Both Ratatouille and Surf's Up released in theaters at the same month of June of 2007, with Surf's Up being released a prior weeks before Ratatouille. Needless to say that Surf's Up is the better CGI movie of 2007 -along with Meet the Robinsons- and it holds up so much better than Ratatouille.

>>151321082>Over the years I've grown sick of Patton Oswalt's voice so that definitely gets to meThis but with me it's with the Pixar's filmography, even with some of their considered the best ones. The only ones I could revisit are Monsters INC., Finding Nemo and the first two Toy Story movies.
>>151320842I was so disappointed with it with all the lasting praise it got, I thought I'd be getting something on par with WALL-E.
>>151321259Maybe the thing that made Surf's Up so good it was the influence in the script of Christopher Jenkins (10 Lives, Duck Duck Goose), who was also a producer of the movie.
>>151320842ii just watched it again a while ago, it's the best fucking pixar movie ever, i love the animation on the people, the expressions, the faces, the giant noses, the wrinkles, it's so well done, makes you understand why pixar stood out, it's way better than any (modern) indie studio, which nowadays you'd think would have better technology than pixar at the time, that should tell you everything, also it's just after the incredibles, and before all the crap that came after, thus is the best pixar movie
>Doesn't care that his long speech meant to inspire his employees is only boring and demoralizing them, on top of wasting valuable work time
>>151321318Faggot.
>>151320842I didn’t know you are now targeting Pixar, Sharktalefag
>>151321528Why? Maybe I hit a nerve here.
>>151321528Don't tell me you're still with the meme of "Pixar movies are le masterpiece¡"
>Burts into the kitchen demanding to know who cooked the Ratatouille despite not having any more authority over the place. He expects it to be filled with his old human employees, unaware that all of them have left and been replaced by rats. He freezes, and somehow the rats ( which were quite a distance away ) end up tying him up, gagging him and locking him. It all happens in less than 5 mins, Skinner doesn't try to run away despite the door being behind him, and Colette is nowhere to be found despite supposedly being at the kitchen helping the rats. Skinner is never seen again for the rest of the movieThis movie's writing is unpolished. Troubled development issues are evident
One of the worst Pixar movies. Pinkava wrote a dull story with boring characters and an unappealing premise. Bird was brought late in development so he could salvage it, but he was unable to. Lasseter was too busy taking over WDAS and trying to save Meet the Robinsons, so he was unable to do much for Ratatouille either. This was made right during Disney's adquisition of Pixar, so development was a bit of a mess. It shows, cause there's a lack of polish to the writing, pacing and characterization here that you didn't find in other Pixar films at the time.
This is a bot thread
>>151320842you already said that
I notice that audiences really like films like Despicable Me or Frozen. Their popularity is not only because of the merchandise appeal or songs, but also because they're very humble and easygoing. They don't have a self important tone like Ratatouille does.
>>151321545Don't listen to this fool. I'm the real Shark Tale anon and this guy is a fake.
Ratatouille is definitely a Twilight Princess era movie. Another 2007 animated film that looks just as dated is TMNT.
>>151321750Fuck off Cinema Sins you dumb fucking cunt
